Red wine is my biggest vice. I love it. That, combined with dark chocolate, makes me happier than anything else on the planet.

I normally try to save my "treats" until Saturday but sometimes then when I start I find it hard to stop and start looking for anything (carbs in particular) to stuff in my gob. I'm wondering if the build up until the weekend causes this and maybe if I had smaller amounts of "naughty" food daily this would not happen?…

God knows! I just ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted and kidded myself that I didn't care that I was getting fatter and fatter!

2 egg omelette with black pepper and 2 slices of grilled bacon. And a green tea :D

Yeah me too, same as usual. It doesn't seem to affect my exercising thankfully. I guess it's trial and error, try it and if there is anything that causes you discomfort then avoid those exercises maybe.

hahaha WORD. If it tastes good it literally cannot be junk.

Also apparently women's healthy body fat percentage is higher than men's because women need more to prepare for things like carrying a child? This is what a couple of "fit pros" have told me anyway! And yeah I guess women's fat distributes more evenly over the body rather than sitting on the gut like with men

Red wine & dark chocolate A pizza Or Roast dinner with all the trimmings

I'd recommend going in the morning - for me personally after a day like that the last thing I would want to do would be to extend it by going to the gym! :)

THIGHS! Stomach can get bad too but thighs are the most stubborn thing ever! argh

Really gone off kale lately. Used to be able to deal with it easy enough but now it makes my stomach turn for some reason. Not good seeing how nutritious it is :/

I don't completely cut out anything - for me its just a case of controlling my binges, as it is those that are detrimental to my progress not any one particular type of food

Never heard of that, there are protein powder recipes all over the internet created by professionals. I wouldn't worry about it :)
-
I only use them as it takes me a while to get home from the gym and then cook my meal as I have been advised by my trainer that it helps to get protein (particularly whey which is absorbed very quickly apparently?) in fairly soon after my workout to prevent muscle wastage. It hasn't done me any harm. As far as I know, if…

I make a protein shake with mine (got a variety of flavours to keep it interesting) and pour it over the oats and leave it to soak in the fridge overnight with berries.
-
I'm normally under, mostly due to exercise. I never feel like I'm really hungry though and I get plenty of protein so I don't really see the problem.

Depends where you go and if you're tracking macros or not. At Pizza Express there are a few pizzas under 800 calories! So if you didn't have a starter you could get away with a whole pizza!

I think people say that because for a lot of people, if they're trying to keep up with other people who may be in much better condition with them, they are going to end up burning out and not being able to finish the race! Nothing wrong with a bit of healthy competition though :)

Just keep picturing the wedding dress ;) and think, once you have actually got married, you'll certainly be entitled to a celebratory bit of cake so it's not "forever"
-
Yep! Measuring tape and mirror is enough for me :) Occasionally get weighed at the gym but don't pay too much attention - unless I've gained like a stone...
-
I'd say yeah, don't take your wallet with you. Pre-prepare healthy meals and snacks for the day to take with you, then you wont need to bring any money for extra food as you'll already have everything you need.

I have berries most day. Raspberries/blueberries/blackberries/strawberries. Why? Because they are delicious, and healthy :) Go great with a handful of nuts.

Massage is a great one! Another way to make yourself feel awesome without food. May even make you feel better than a cheat meal would! Or you could plan a day out like an activity day or something

I find diet whey quite good - My Protein seems to be popular ww.myprotein.com - Impact Diet whey. But loads of places will do diet whey, I use impact diey whey from USC Nutrition (google them) I think they are quite new but the ingredients list is very similar to my protein so cant foresee any problems!

Yep, heavyish weights - may be worth buying your own set of dumbbells and barbells for home or joining a gym - whatever suits best. I would say gym might be more fun as you can mix it up and do classes and things as well then! If you're at home with weights you can find different exercises on youtube to follow :)

I'm loving breakfast at the moment! Oats flavoured with whey protein are amazing - you can have them either hot or cold as well (if you make the protein shake, pour it over the oats and leave it in the fridge overnight and then add berries and seeds the next morning - amazing). Also love venison sausages from the butchers…

Small amounts of butter - untold amounts of crap in margarine! don't fall for the stupid adverts about cholesterol and what not.

You're not stupid. Special K and the like market their foods as healthy and trap innocent people with good intentions. If you don't know what you're looking for, which most people don't, then you'll fall into their trap. I hate the companies that con the public like that!

Thanks Brian - that's really helpful! I'm definitely going to try the stretching and increasing my pace gradually from a walk instead of going straight into a run. Also I had a cup of coffee and a banana about 30 mins before which for a lot of my workouts is beneficial but it seems this may not be the case for running.…

I was just sick of being fat. I was a teenage girl and image conscious and aware that I was bigger than most people. I saw a picture of myself on a night out and was sickened. However, now I'm a more normal size, I just get a buzz off feeling healthy and am not that bothered about the number on the scales or my clothes…
