Rice or naan bread?
Hi all A question if you don't mind. As you may have guessed by the thread title, I'm off for a curry on Friday and by manipulating the rest of my day will be able to fit in a main and also a rice/naan bread - any recommendations of which is better nutritionally? I would place my bets on rice and I like both so happy with…

Atkins bars
So far I have only tried the choc chip daybreak bars, which taste great but seeem to have a lot of omious ingredients. Do you guys eat any of the Atkins branded food or just stick to the principles of the diet? Not had any bad side effects from the bars yet but don't want to risk it if they're going to end up doing more…

Stopping binges once and for all...
So I know bingeing is quite a popular topic on here but I really need to find a way to stop them, Basically, I eat "well", "properly" whatever, all week, generally all the way up to Saturday afternoon when I normally allow myself a "treat" meal... Only it is never just one meal, it's like once I start I can't stop, it's…

Thinking about it
So, after successfully losing the bulk of my weight, I'm looking to lose the last few lbs, about 7 to be precise, though if i lose 3 - 4 % Body Fat I am not overly bothered about the scales. Atkins has had some bad press but from what I've seen on the site just seems to be controlling carbs? Oh and I tried their Daybreak…

Stitch when running - help?1
Hey everyone. So I've been running now for a good few months in preparation for my first ever 10km (which is in just over a week) and gradually building up my stamina. I've been a regular gym goer for a few years now so I was reasonably fit beforehand but needed to build up my stamina for running and get the miles on my…

Eating whilst ill - weight gain worries
Hi all, I've come down with quite a violent case of stomach flu (vomiting, other unpleasant toilets troubles etc and a very sore belly in general). As I had quite an indulgent weekend, I was hoping to be able to get right back on the diet and training but obviously I can't work out and the only things that aren't making my…

agave nectar
I normally have a tsp of honey in a plain greek or natural yogurt as part of my lunch. I was thinking of replacing this with agave nectar - it seems to have a lot less sugar in it and overall be a lot healthier. Is there anything bad about this product that I'm not aware of? Do you guys think it would be a good…

Quitting alcohol for a month (and does this work?)
Hi I love my booze and my PT has requested that I abstain from alcohol (amongst other delightful things) for 4 weeks. I am on day 3...lol. And this weekend hasn't been too bad because I've just been at home but in upcoming weekends I have social events where alcohol will be all around me and no doubt there will be certain…

hello from Kent
Hi all, I've been doing a mixture of losing weight/attempting to lose weight now for about 3 and a half years. Thankful to say I have never gone back properly to my "old ways" (eating as much rubbish as I want, no exercise and generally being very overweight and unhealthy) but like most normal humans I do give in to the…
