Eating whilst ill - weight gain worries

Hi all,
I've come down with quite a violent case of stomach flu (vomiting, other unpleasant toilets troubles etc and a very sore belly in general). As I had quite an indulgent weekend, I was hoping to be able to get right back on the diet and training but obviously I can't work out and the only things that aren't making my stomach worse are soup (chicken noodle/tomato), tea with honey and white toast, which is high carb, low protein and not the type of diet I follow to help keep body fat off at all.
I am starting to feel better so hopefully I will be back on it but I'm worried that this extra day of not training and rubbish carbs after a bit of a naughty weekend (I had a family birthday party so again there was quite a lot of carbs involved) will have disastrous consequences on m weight. Can anybody recommend a good way to help minimise the damage once I'm better?
Thanks in advance x
