  • 24 and taking no prisoners! I'll add you, and anyone else who wants to add me, feel free. :)
  • I'm having the same kind of day today. I'm not too worried about it; like others have said, as long as your calories balance out to roughly your target number, no big deal. If you DO want to get a little closer to your caloric goal today (1800 is quite a deficit!), you might try to "drink your calories." That's something I…
  • Oh snap! That clears up a lot of confusion. I feel kind of silly now. :-P Thank you!
  • I'm curious about this because I created a playlist for my jogs with songs in the 155-160 BPM range so my feet would move perfectly to the music, and according to http://jog.fm/workout-playlists/for/running, the songs I'm choosing are consistent with 9-minute-mile jogging times. I know I can't be going that fast, but if my…
  • I'm doing something similar to C25K, but I modified it for my own needs. I'm currently doing intervals of 5.5 minutes of jogging interspersed with 2-min intervals of brisk walking. I do this 3 times, so my jogging ends up totaling 16.5 minutes, and my walking (including warmup) totals around 10-11 minutes by the time I get…
  • Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. :) I unfortunately don't have a smartphone (I want one!) but it is also out of the budget for me at this time. To give you an idea of my financial situation, my boyfriend and I currently SHARE a used flip-phone (remember those? lol) which we can only sometimes afford to put minutes on.…
  • Haha, I was just coming to the message boards to post the same article when I saw this! Gives me even more motivation to lose weight; I'm going to get small enough to wear their clothes, and then boybott them!
  • Amazing!! Congrats on reaching your goal. I'm almost your height (5'3") and started at just a little over where you were--around 167. I set my goal weight at 125, but if I look as good as you at 135 I might stop there. :)
  • It could be that as you get used to the workout, you have more endurance and so you don't need to work as hard to do the exercises anymore. If you find the workout is becoming easier for you, try increasing the intensity or the duration and see what your HRM says.
  • Thanks for sharing! And to everyone else who posted or friended me, thank you! I'm still figuring out all of the nuances of this site, and didn't realize until just tonight that I had replies on this thread. :) You all rock!
  • Hi, I'm Abby, and I'm pretty new to MFP. When I started this I needed to lose about 42 pounds; now I need to lose about 35. I'm 5'3" and currently about 160lbs. I'm sending you a friend request now--anyone else who wants a friend, please add me!
  • I'm still on my weight-loss journey but I am also 5'3". Started out somewhere between 167-170 (didn't have a scale for the first few weeks I was working out) and now I'm at 160.2. Trying to get down to 125, hopefully by the end of 2013. Anyone who wants to add me as a friend, please do! I'm new to MFP and need a bigger…
  • Wow, very interesting! What I found the most scary was the part about the virus. I had a cold a couple of weeks ago, and while I kept exercising and eating few calories, I gained weight at my last weigh-in and couldn't figure out why. Now I'm worried I have the chicken virus! :-/
  • Hey, I'm Abby. I'm 24 years old, 5'3" tall, and 161lbs (about 170 at my heaviest). I make my living as a singer in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, but I'm originally from South Bend, IN. I'm in a relationship with an awesome atheist man who is also my musical partner. We're both trying to lose weight, obviously for the…
