The scale really helps me: keep an eye on things, stay motivated, monitor progress, and confirm fears! I don't see it as a negative at all, but one of many tools.

I think it really varies for people. I don't look good below 120 (can't maintain it either) or above 130, but other people do. Depends on lots of things. I'm fairly busty so that may be one of the reasons I can't get too low. For others, it's muscle mass or frame size.

I don't think those goals are too low - still within healthy BMI, right? For me, I can't seem to maintain anything under 120 (at least haven't managed it so far), so that's my goal for now. One nice thing about being short is that every pound lost is noticeable (at least, for me!)

I think I might cut it out for awhile (since I do tend to eat more when drinking too) and see how it goes. Well, maybe cutting back to once a week will be enough :-) Thanks, Molly
