Thanks ALL for your support and encouragement, and checkins its great seeing your progress, you are totally awesome :flowerforyou: it's really motivating to check in and find some inspiration, through the hard work and the fun.... keep calm and keep joggin..

I really felt the same as you, I really got nervous and didn't think I could do it either. I did! Just go for it, try to stay calm, pace yourself and enjoy. If you get to a point where it gets too much ( I'm sure it won't!) then walk briskly for 1 minute to catch your breath then continue, OR don't go too fast so that you…

Hi well my race is the 23rd June at 11am :)) exactly 14 days...in Plymouth, Devon I took my run indoors tonight just for quickness really and I have had a hectic w/e- thought it may be a little easier! Well my back has calmed down again on Friday when I ran outdoors-zero back pain so thats great news. So that can't stop…

I've just realised I've got my 1st ever ever 5k race in 16 days....7 or 8 more training days ...will take it outside again today to build outdoor stamina. I feel achy for longer after my jog outdoors (ie not treadmill) and its a much greater challenge. The bonus is being more in tune with nature, much more of a sensory…

Hi Well I'm still catching up with myself ...completed c25k May 10th, having started back in March from absolute scratch. I'm still aiming for strong consistent completion of actual 5k as I found my distance fell short in the 35 mins I was runnin! My aim is to build stamina and do a really strong 5k, I've got my first ever…

Fantastic trampolining! Yay I just came back from a very hot jog, outside in the park alone (!) this time, it was great. Only prob I had back ache for 1st 1.5 miles it seemed to subside a bit after then. I think it's to do with the fact someone pushed us at the music festival (high spirits!) and I was posting to Facebook…

Firstly congratulations on your efforts so far! I felt a bit like that too when I started c25k after using a treadmill for 10 years - but only ever walking fast (i always despised running!!) and i used the incline to vary the intensity but I didn't challenge my lungs & cardiovascular system so my legs were strong and lungs…

A local music festival and a job application stole my time on Saturday so the christening of my trainers outside happened today instead. Thanks all for your comments/advice re: run and get outside! It was hard, possibly in part to a really busy day yesterday (I was tired) and the park terrain! However I managed 2.87 miles…

Oh this is amazing! Wow. Loving the kindred spirits, you are a special person vardaeml. She will be as inspired as we are to continue as a running 'family' member - such empathy will stay with her forever, she will never forget that! Bless you

AWW thanks vardaeml! wicked. you've given me the confidence to get my *kitten* out there!! great. i will keep you posted. my next run is scheduled for Saturday. I LOVE being a runner. Its ace. I most definately struggle when its hotter, so yes |I agree the heat has a major part in how you run! Since starting the plan in…

oh thanks for the tips re running coaches etc. I did my best run today, bearing in mind Im still on my treadmill (after physio advised not to run outside due to rehab from an old op) I know Im going to have to do it soon or I will be so unprepared for my 5k. I figured if I got specialist total gel running trainers then its…

Well, I feel like a real runner now. Had a gait analysis and found that I have a neutral gait, purchased some funky trainers and signed up for my first 5k race in 4 weeks time! Wowwwwww get me! I would like to start the bridge to 10k training but not sure where to start, what iphone APP etc and is that the right thing to…
-
Hi romyhorse what APP are you using for b210k? I need to get in there too. Thanks
-
Well, my run yesterday was awesome (even tho I am still indoors on treadmill) it was the best yet! I graduated May 10th and been running every other day since for 30mins, trying to build stamina before moving on to bridge to 10k. I'm feeling very excited as I've just signed up for my first ever 5k race, which is in 4 weeks…

Hi I've graduated from 5k program and excited about joining 10k program. Can you advise best plan I can use that will be my virtual coach and that I can use my own tunes to please? Ive got iphone. I used the NHS c25k podcasts before, but had to put up with the integrated tunes...I'm pretty excited as I've just signed up…

well done you!! you can really see those 15lbs have gone (or 30 packets of butter as I like to imagine!). You are blessed with a wonderful hoursglass figure...keep up the good work you're doing great and will get to look even more amazing!

Totally agree

Well done ! so glad to hear you kicked your own butt again and got back to your running plan. Great work

Really fantastic, simply mind blowing! What a stunning woman you are too! Thanks for sharing, I still can't quite believe its the same person! Well done super mum!!

I run inside on the treadmill at the moment (Physio orders,) so the weather doesn't stop me, I open my French doors and window in the gym and at least I get the elements coming through the room, the wind, rain and sun! However, for the first time since graduating from c25k 10th May I had a period of 3 days last week where…

That sounds fun with your dog in tow! It will be lovely running in Cornwall with the scenery, fresh sea air and sunshine, so lovely you will hardly notice the steep hills...lol Well done on your progress so far
-
Well done for your work so far, you're doing well! It doesn't sound very good about your knees I would definitely see a professional about them ASAP as you don't want to do any damage. My Physio advised me to run on treadmill only due to the impact on joints/ligaments etc, (after abdominal surgery back in 2011!) which I…

Excellent, well done  keep up the good work

Luly, You've done it before, you can do it again. Stress and difficult times in our lives can make us all get a bit derailed at times. What matters is you take the control back. We've probably all regretted a day, a week, a year when we've not done our 'healthy eating plan' as we wanted. Thats just life! But now, you are…

After graduating on May 10th, I've tried very hard to continue with the day on day off running routine. I managed 5 x30minute runs every other day then had a break for 3 days and my run today was immense I loved it. I did half hour body boarding today too. I thought I may struggle as I had left it the longest since I…

Wicked! Well done you

Excellent! I was in a similar place when I started the c25k having left it 22 years before I ran again ( due to the fact I disliked it so much) now I've finished c25k (last Friday) and really, really have enjoyed it! Here's to many more years of running :drinker:

I felt tired around week 8 and then into week 9 I thought it was due to muscle and body changes the runs seem to make me tired in a good way! Don't worry the end of the program will come soon enough! You've built up some great stamina up to this point so feel good about that! Good luck getting back 'in' the zone
-
Good luck and enjoy!
