  • I love bringing my bento to work so I don't eat terrible takeout! This one is romaine lettuce with cucumbers and shakshouka (eggs poached in tomato with spices, peppers and onions). I love seeing everyone else's lunch ideas!
  • I don't do cheat days because the whole point of me doing MFP is to track what I eat. A day where I'm not logging does not compute to me! If I know I'm going out or doing something special I'll eat a little less the day before and budget those calories and splash out. Lately however I seem to still lean towards better…
  • I am one of those daily scale watchers and know EXACTLY what you mean! Someone should hide mine! (or toss it out the window, or bury it...) I think most people will recommend weighing in once a week.
  • Just get back to what you've been doing. Crazy bad eating days happen, it helps to log it all for accountability.
  • I love baking treats for my friends and they've come to expect them. Some of my friends know that I'm trying to better myself but still want warm cookies. I bake after a meal, so I am less likely to "taste" the batter or want to shove a parade of cookies down my throat. I allow myself one cookie (and log it!) and then…
  • I don't plan on being "skinny" but I do plan on being healthy! (and wearing dresses from ModCloth...)
  • I second the idea of going online and checking out their menu before hand so you can set up a plan of attack. I've done this knowing that I'd be going out and I was able to pick out what I wanted to eat and then schedule the rest of my meals around it to make it work. Social eating is a minefield!
  • Sure, I've had days where I've splashed out and had beers and terrible snacks since I started but I still make a point of logging them so I can visualize what I've done and use them to make better decisions later on.
  • I will second and third and fourth that starting a weight loss regime has helped my reflux. I used to have to take a lot of pills to keep mine at bay because all my favourite foods were triggers. (I love coffee, alcohol, and spicy things!) Since I started MFP a couple weeks ago I've only had to take pills a couple of times…
