Weekdays a shake with vanilla protein powder, kale, a banana and almond milk. Love it and it keeps my satiated through lunch. On the weekends, 2 egg omelet with veggies (usually whatever is left at the end of the week).

Hi ladies. I've been aiming for 10,000 steps a day with my fitbit. Mind if I join in?

I like working out in the morning because it gives me a sense of accomplishment right off the bat, but I'm not much of a runner. I swim usually 3 days a week. I don't know what your commute is like but I usually get to the Y by 6:45, swim until 7:30 then shower. I dry my hair at the gym, then I go back home, finish getting…

Blah ha ha. This made my day.

Interesting topic. Bumping for later so I can remember the egg replacement for baked goods. I have an egg allergy.

Bump.

I think another poster suggested wetting your hair first. This helps tremendously, especially if you spray a little conditioner on your hair too. Also, you might try a silicone cap. Pricier but way more comfortable. I use Paul Mitchell three too...very good at getting chlorine out.

I'm in and this is my update.

Ditto that.

Oh, honey...it took me about 17 days to get through 10 level one workouts. And that workout is tough. Take a break and try again another day. Honestly, Sunday I did level 2, day 1 and I still hurt too bad to do day 2. No worries. I'll get through it. So will you.

This made me gag. And this made me laugh out loud. Blah ha ha

I am through day 8 of level one (with intermittent break days to do something else). I definitely feel stronger and have more endurance and it is getting easier. I refuse to measure myself until I finish all 30 days so I don't know about progress yet.
-
It does get better. I am on Level 1 Day 9 (i've been taking a break and doing something else every couple of days) and last night was the easiest yet. I am amazed at how quickly I've built up my endurance.

I love an egg white sandwich with a slice of cheese on a bagel thin or toast. I'll usually have coffe and fruit with it too. But I tested really high for an egg allergy last week so I have two weeks with NO EGGS! This morning I had sausage instead of an egg for my my protein.....totally not the same thing. I'm really…

very cool. totally going to try that.

I am a swimmer too. I swam in high school but I was slow and still am. I just enjoy free style and breast and will generally swim for 30 minutes twice a week. I can get about 1000 yards completed in that time frame. I find it very relaxing and a nice alternative to the treadmill.

Loved this story. So inspirational. Tears of joy from this corner.

That sounds awesome. The kids opted for cantaloupe and Pb&j's and my husband is out so I was on my own. And I just got my weekly veggie delivery last night so.........dinner was: egg white frittata with zucchini, onion, spinach and mushrooms. Even with shredded cheese it's under 250 calorie for 1/2 the skillet.

Yum...tasty menu. I would probably go with the Local Harvest Greens Salad, dressing on the side and the halibut minus the cream sauce. The 6oz ribeye is probably a good choice too, but I never cook Halibut at home and it so good. I agree about the asparagus for a veggie side too. Have fun.

I buy this stuff every week: Apples bananas grapes other in season fruit cucumbers zucchini broccoli spinach eggs whole wheat bagel thins roasted chicken k-cups (for coffee machine) milk greek yogurt Everything else is based off my dinner menu but these get me through the week including lunches. I love green veggies and so…

You've made several great points. I think everyone makes comments based on their own experiences. That is what defines their perspective. I've actually appreciated this topic. Several people have made points I didn't even think of initially (because I was commenting based on my experiences). It is helpful to see other…

This was what I was trying to say..but you said it better. And with less rambling

I am most watchful of my carbohydrates and sodium. I overindulge on both so I watch them closest.

I believe in the 80/20 rule. 80% of the time I aim to eat healthy so that my overall diet is healthy, quality foods. 20% of the time, not so much. I aim to make the right choices 80% of the time.

Good point.
