Wow! You all look great! Keep it up! Mine is my profile picture. 10 weeks of intense exercise and nutrition change through sort of a boot camp program. I've learned to be more focused on composition, rather than the number on the scale. But I did lose 17 lbs! Still working to get my body fat into a more healthy range.

5'11" lady in the hizzzouse! Group exercise is interesting for us. The smaller folks have no problem keeping up with the instructors, but when your strides are longer, you have to work so much harder to keep up. Someone in another topic I've posted on mentioned that during high knees, everyone is like 1-2-1-2-1-2 and she's…

Just a smidge under 5'11"-- but when my hair is in it's naturally curly state, I'm totally with you! :) I lost almost 16.6 lbs before joining MFP by doing what basically amounts to a boot camp program- this is not reflected on my ticker tho. I was 186.6 in January and as of yesterday I was down to 171- and I lost 3% body…

Hello, my "obese" friend! I'm "obese" too! Well, 5 weeks ago, I was, despite killing myself 3 days per week in kickboxing and 3 per week resistance training. It's heartbreaking. On the other hand, at this same test, I had increased push ups by 100% and sit ups by over 300%. I had also lost 4 inches off my waist and 1-2" in…

A lot of people suggest a couple of free days or cheat meals every so often to trick your metabolism. Either that or you do need some extra calories.

5'11", 172 lbs- 2200 TDEE-- 1760 Weight loss MFP has me at 1930 TDEE with 1200 for weight loss (I'm set a 1.5 lbs per week, but at this point, don't know if that's realistic since I'm 12 lbs from goal). Now THAT seems low to me, although I weigh less than you guys. Does your TDEE change as you lose weight? It should.…

If you live in Midwest and have Hy-Vee in your area, the NNW brand is awesome- in a black package. It's in the health food area. I can even drink it plain with water. They have tons of flavors!!!

I'm odd- I have broad shoulders and hips, but small arms and legs. Not sure what frame size I am. I just know that because of how wide I am due to my bone structure, don't think I could ever physically fit into much below a 10. I was in an 8 once as an adult- but that was a wedding dress and since it wasn't a fitted skirt,…

Pear... big shock- NOT! ETA- I am having my measurements done this weekend and based on just taking an inch off hips and 2 off the waist, I made hourglass. Last measurements were over a month ago. Hopefully I've progressed!

Some of these are sad, but true. I am loving the funny posts because I can relate. Let's see: 1. "Wow, how tall are you?" "5'10.5" "No way. You're at least 6 foot two." 2. Exercise bands seem to be made for shorter people! I can't progress as high because I have the pull the bands up so much further. 3. Pretty much any…

I do a boot camp program and have dropped about 14 lbs and have definitely firmed up. I can totally tell, as can my husband (cuz he's seen me naked). I was kind of bummed when I went to a family event and no one commented or seemed to notice. Maybe it's just my ego.

I could've written this post! You are pretty much dead on where I was 10 weeks ago- I'm a half inch taller though, started at 187 with 33.3% body fat! I do a boot camp type program and get my official results on Saturday- but right now I weigh about 172 and I have no clue on BF. I really hope I've dropped as I've worked so…

I'm about to wrap up 10 weeks this weekend. It's crazy! I'm really anxious about the body fat measurement. At 5 weeks I had lost none and I was so mad about it. I didn't give up though. I've made progress and I've definitely toned up, but keep worrying what if my bf is higher or the same? I will be really upset if I don't…

Hello from another fat skinny chick! Sucks to be us because everyone is always like "you don't NEED to lose weight." Ummmm, yeah, have you seen me naked? ;) Do you own calipers or a scale that measures body fat? That is probably the first step. Last I checked, I was borderline obese!!! No one in their right mind, including…
