Thanks for posting! When you look at real vs. photoshopped, you can seriously see how fake the photoshops look. Unreal angles for sure!

I totally hear you on the Zumba vs. Insanity thing! MFP had me burning 600 calories for kickboxing and it's HARD, but when I got the BMF, it's more like 400. I was bummed and surprised. On the other hand, the BMF gave me more burn than MFP for my resistance training. My zumba class is over for now and I hope to start back…

How can you not eat enough carbs? ;) Yes, I'm a carboholic!!! Whole grain breads, veggies and fruits all count as carbs. I do whole grain pasta as well-- just measure your serving size. I've found that if you boil it in chicken broth, it has more flavor. Brown rice is another, but I don't like that it's so dry! A favorite…

Everyone I knows who sells it is so aggressive that for me it's a turn off. They also seem to quit selling after about 2 months. I don't eat artificial sweeteners and I called out one of the distributors when she told me it was all natural.

WOW!!! I hate lunges, but burpees are my all time yuck. I'm pretty sure if there is a hell, they are doing burpees there.

I did it through the BM website. Log in, go to apps, scroll through and find it.

Am I correct in that I don't have to enter any exercise in MFP since it's automatically uploaded from the BM? I see in my exercise section here that I have calories burned entered for me. SWEET! I think I'm getting the hang of this. Hopefully OP is too. I'm using MFP for the diet part, BM for calorie burn and really…

I've done more Zumba in the past and now do it once a week (my profile pic is not due to Zumba). Never done the videos, so I can't answer your questions, but I would recommend signing up for a class if you have one near you. There is variety and even if you are the most uncoordinated person in the world, it's still fun and…

I've had mine two days and it's sooo cool. Unfortunately, I think I'm allergic to it (I guess the metal bothers some people- had I known this, I would've gotten another device). I can't wear it all day because it starts to burn after a few hours, so do what I can. I figure I might as well learn what I can before I can't…

Jennifer, under cardio, find strength training. It'll give you an approximate burn. That way you get "credit" for it too!

I got a Body Media yesterday and so far, I really like it! I know they are different trackers, but the biggest thing is tracking calories burned. I was pleasantly surprised to see that MFP has been shorting me about 25 calories burned in my resistance training. Not a huge number, but I'll take all the burn I can get! There…

My sense of humor rocks, even if some people don't care for it. I still have my tonsils and my appendix! I'm very proud of myself for how far I've come-- 21 lbs gone and literally changing the shape of my body. I like that I'm getting toned arms!

I've noticed when I've lowered the amount of sugar I eat, I don't get the cravings at all during my cycle. I still get grumpy, but for whatever reason, sugar is the trigger. I generally limit myself to less than 30 grams per day of PROCESSED sugar. That being said, I do eat fruit because my body doesn't seem to react to…

Healthy food my husband and possibly kids might eat! Thanks!

Hello from a fellow Iowan! :) It never occurred to me that homemade greek yogurt meant you'd sacrifice protein. I've used your identical recipe a couple of times. When I need just a shade more protein, I will add a partial scoop of vanilla protein powder to my greek yogurt. Obviously you wouldn't do this when you're using…

Did a long road trip in February with my family and actually did better on the road than I did at the destination! Protein bars, lots of water, apples, nuts, etc.. We did stop for a real meal once on the way and it was fast food. If you have a smart phone, you can plan your meal by looking up nutrition info on an app.…

I do weigh. I also retain water, so I don't expect much. I weigh in hopes of progress and partly because it's a habit! I have noticed over the years I tend to do a 4 week cycle along with my period. For example: Week 1 (first weigh after period)- big loss Week 2- moderate loss Week 3 (usually ovulation and when I start to…

So I've always thought of myself as either an hourglass or pear, but taking the quiz, I'm totally a spoon. I've always had kind of that funny shelf look- except when I was fat!!! that shadow outline lady is totally me! Glad to know my true shape and now need to figure out what clothes look best! :)

I have two kids- I don't know how tall they are, but I do see where they stack up next to their classmates. I'm 5-11 and husband is 6-6. My son is 8 and is pretty dang small. He was a preemie (11 weeks early). He also doesn't eat, which could explain why he's small- both height and very underweight. I hope he's just a late…

Dang! When I've been up around 200, I was in a 16. Maybe you all just have more muscle than I do, hence weighing more but being smaller. I know I have a high % of body fat and have even been told I'm "skinny fat." I don't weigh a lot in comparison to women my height, but I'm carrying a lot of blubber. I have really wide…

Welcome! 5'11" here! I think tall women do have different challenges. When you tell someone who is 5'3" that you weigh 170 lbs (or whatever healthy weight is for you), they look at you like you are crazy! I started at about 187 and as of last week was 166. My goal is 160, although I'm more concerned with body fat than…

I know this post is a couple of weeks old, but oh well! I have done BFC a couple of times and it has worked great! I never tried the fast track, because I think it's just a marketing gimmick (love Jorge Cruise, but the guy is always changing things up- stick with what works, dude!!!). The one thing I learned from that plan…

I'm enjoying this thread. I'm eating at the recommended MFP levels and have been doing great so far (lost 16 prior to starting MFP). I am getting to a point where I'll probably stall, as I'm very close to goal. Will probably give the TDEE-15 or 20% a go. Opening a can of worms here, but do most of you on this plan stick to…

I've really slimmed down my inner thighs. Mine have always been that big ugly lump. I do pretty intense kickboxing 3x per week. On resistance days, there are squats, lunges and the usual. The one where I get the most inner thigh burn is by using an "o-ring" resistance band around my ankles, laying on on side, propping the…

@yvilla- I hear you! I'm a FIT member and I still have bad days! I poop out early and get dizzy. To add insult to injury, I have a latex allergy (the bands are latex) and dashboard knee from a car accident. Some days, I seriously wonder why I keep coming back. But it is so worth it! Unfortunately, it doesn't get easier,…

Great job! Also, you have ribs like me that kind of poof out at the bottom. :)

See my profile pic for before and after- that was taken 2 weeks ago after losing 17 lbs.. Starting weight was 186 and I'm at 166 now. My focus is more on body fat % than the scale. As obvious as the weight loss is in the photos, I haven't had a lot of people notice. I pretty much live in baggy sweats, so no one knew how…

Iowa City in the house!!! Finished 10 weeks 2 weeks ago and thrilled with my results. This group needs to get more active. There is so much support at Farrell's and it would be nice to see more on MFP.

I've lost almost 20 lbs over the past 12 weeks and have a cheat day every Saturday. No holds barred. I don't track anything. I'm strict during the week and I work out hard. But that Saturday keeps me going psychologically. That being said, I'm pretty much done eating for the day by late afternoon. After a sugary coffee…

Wish there was a "like" button here! So many good posts! Our 10 year wedding anniversary is in May. I knew going into this that I married my polar opposite. I'm outgoing, he's reserved. I'm impulsive, he's safe. I like art, he likes sports. The one thing we have in common is that we both got pretty fat together. Usually,…
