Well done! You are motivating!!

I've never wanted to be "skinny". I want to be fit and to live a long and happy life. Today's chesseburger and fries is not worth the things I'll miss later if I die of some overweight related condition. I'm in this for the long haul and I want to be as healthy as I can. The way I look at it is that I am an example to my…

Getting older definitely beats the alternative. Live life to the fullest!

Honestly don't weight my food but I do log accurately and force myself to keep up with my water intake. Also plan (look forward to) 1 splurge day per week. A lot of times it turns into just a splurge meal but I'm still paying myself for eating better during the week. Oh, and work out regularly.
-
Highly unlikely. 2 pounds per week healthy loss is about the best you're going to achieve. Acknowledge that you've made progress, enjoy your birthday and continue your plan. It's not about a number, it's about being healthy and achieving your goals.

My boss go on and on about how great she is...

We give ourselves one cheat day a week but like many have noted, that day often turns into a single meal where we eat somewhere we wouldn't at a calorie intake we wouldn't. Don't track weekly totals but know that we always make sure that cheat day is also solid work out day.

We've been alternating morning workouts between Ripped and Extreme Shed and Shred. Just got going again about 3 weeks ago but starting to see results already. We do 2 days on 1 day off and continue with alternating vid.

My thoughts exactly...

Keep going. The only person's happiness that matters is yours

Two things I noticed. 1) you know you're going to binge eat so plan for it. Wife and I give ourselves 1 splurge day per week. We think about it and I think sometimes I dream about what I'm giong to eat. Then we make sure that we workout that day even if it's supposed to be a rest day. Over the year we've been doing this,…

Muscle is useless unless you plan on using it for something...

Take a stopwatch to work tomorrow and tell him you'll time his 5K at lunch. Bullies don't react well to being called on their crap and you shouldn't take it. Part of being physically strong includes being mentally strong and not just when it comes to snacks IMHO.

I'm 6'1 and initially had a goal of 185 but am now looking at a range between 178 and 182

Good for you!!! Amazing commitment

I hope you feel better but just a couple of thoughts... If you don't live in a metro area with mass transit you'll need a car to get to work (a la a car payment). I don't mind sleeping outdoors on occasion but December's a little chilly without a roof or central heat (a la a mortgage payment). I also have the other sundry…

Um, hamsterlid? Into small animals?

Congrats!

Really not going to happen unless you're lifting really heavy weight and roiding up.

Not 100% sure that I agree with that statement. Shoes are like tires for your feet. If they aren't the appropriate tires for your feet you're going to see an impact. I suffered through shin splints, hip and knee pain from what turned out to be the wrong shoes when I was heavier. I did my research on the net and found that…

I only do that on Saturday's, if I have a date... LOL

Try Play It Again Sports, it's where all the quitters sell their stuff.

It doesn't matter if you run a mile walk a mile, it's running. Just FYI, in the 22-26 YO Female scoring for the Army Physical Fitness Test, the passing score on the 2 mile run requires a pace faster than 9:27 per mile. Keep going and tell him to try to keep up!!
