  • Love rollerblading! I found a great pair at Goodwill, the wheels can snap on and off so you can walk in the boots. Which is handy when I get to parts of the trail that aren't paved. Good luck and have fun!
  • You should probably get that checked out by a doctor...Tongue issues can be a sign of an underlying problem somewhere in the body. And for future reference, you should put a TMI warning or something on posts like this....
  • Sometimes the best thing to say is exactly that: "I have no words I can give you." Just tell them you'll be there for them anytime, and if you can prepare a meal for them, or do some yard work for them, just show them you're thinking of them.
  • High School weight: 165 Current weight: 165 I gained 11 lbs between graduation in 2007 and March 2014, but I also had a final growth spurt of 1 1/2 inches when I was 20-ish. Hopefully I can get to a healthy weight, I'm tired of being chubby my whole life!
  • I always feel uncomfortable when people point it out. Proud of my hardwork...But uncomfortable.
  • Unfortunately a lot of store bought gluten-free foods are really gross tasting. You're better off just trying homemade. Google "Gluten-Free Recipes" or maybe "Celiac Friendly Recipes" Here's a few I just found: http://simplygluten-free.com/gluten-free-recipes/gluten-free-figure-friendly…
  • New Glarus Spotted Cow is very good!
  • I make "hardboiled" eggs in the oven. Put 1 egg in each spot of a muffin tin, put in oven, set oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and bake 30 minutes. Turn out perfect every time and they peel easily.
  • Well if you want lovely springs, hot summers, colorful falls, and beautiful snowy winters, then Wisconsin's the place to be ;) But you might find Texas or Arizona more to your liking if you want warmer climates consistently.
  • I agree! I may be trying to lose weight now, but someday I'm going to be maintaining my weight and I'm not going to maintain it using special low fat or zero calorie foods, I'm going to be eating real world food with all the good stuff in it! So why not learn portion control now instead of creating an inevitable stumbling…
  • From my experience (Music Major here!) conductors don't really spend the entire time conducting, they're usually stopping and starting often. If the class were to be 60 minutes long, I'd say one might burn around 200 calories..? MFP says when I play violin or clarinet I burn about 150 to 190 calories every 60 minutes. Now…

  • Not sure if you made them or were eating out, but if you were making them it's definitely always best to enter in the recipe with the exact ingredients you're using. If you're eating out, thats always more difficult, you may need to ask for nutritional info from the restaurant if it's available at all. But! You live and…
  • I just binged on peanut butter and jelly and am now WAY over my calories...but I don't regret one single moment ;) P.S. I think you should smile, you're alive and life is a beautiful thing ;)
  • Certain artificial sweeteners make me crave carbs, not necessarily sugar. I don't know about any research behind any of it, but that has been my personal experience.
  • You look amazing! Way to go and look forward to seeing more of your progress in the future!!
  • If you have pre-existing heart issues especially, do NOT take it. I have heart palpitations and before I knew the risks of ephedrine I took it and nearly had a heart attack, luckily I had something to counter the attack on hand so it turned out fine, but really, is any of what you've been told on here worth the risk? The…

  • A couple apples with some carrots is really good! I also like 4 kale leaves, handful spinach, 1/2 handful parsley, 1/2 lemon, 1 cucumber, 2 apples.
  • Do you mean "Kwik Trip" as in the gas station? Try emailing the company or call your local store, they should have all that info on hand somewhere.
  • Perhaps you shouldn't title your post "my pulse is scary low!?" That implies you are scared and not sure what to do. If you're having heart issues go to a doctor and don't be ignorant enough to just ask a forum of mostly non-medical trained people who are here for weight loss.
  • Oh yeah, you sure can lose that much in that amount of time but you'll spend twice as long trying to fix your metabolism to make it healthy again. Maybe plan your weight loss ventures further ahead than 40 days next time ;) ETA: Plus you'll lose a ton of muscle along the way, which will also take quite a while to gain back.
  • I would probably take a nap, first off ;) Then I would go to the gym and work off as many of the extra calories that I can!
  • Yes! This! Lol
  • Only when we have company or if I'm feeling particularly "weak", which isn't all that often. Maybe once a month or so?
  • Going to have to try your recipe! And as for the OP, yeah...I'll stick to delicious foods instead of your sewage in a cup!
  • I've also tried straight-up healthy living and it just isn't something I can do in the long run. I eat quite "unhealthily" but I fit it all into my calorie goal using portion control. When I buy a bag of chips or candy, I automatically portion it out into smaller bags when I get home from the store and grab one when I'm…
  • 29. To not be the chubby wife at my husband's family functions!
  • That's awesome! My uncle was in the Navy and I have several cousins who are in the Army, thank you for serving your country and doing what you love! I hope that article gets published, you deserve it :D
  • I had pre-diabetes but it was reversed with my diet. I ate veggies, fruits, whole foods (nothing processed) and I also did juicing. I lost a bit of weight and after 40 days I had it reversed :) I can't say that I eat healthy like that anymore as that was 3 years ago now, but it hasn't come back and I've never felt better!…
  • My absolute favorite chip flavor! Great now I'm craving them ;)
  • We have well water and it is delicious :)
