I heard (from Alton Brown) that tapioca flour is a good substitute for wheat flour. He used it to make cookies for "wheat intolerence." I don't know about the calories, but you could do some comparison shopping.

I love cabbage... I can eat so much. But there is a negative to that of course.

Make a frittata before bed. Egg whites, vegetables, meats... mix all that up in a frying pan and stick it in the oven (top with 2% cheese if you can afford the calories). Reheat in the microwave or even in the oven if you have time. Eat it with some toast, or make a sandwich with it and take it to go. I do this a lot when…

This is the best topic... I thought I was the only one (I don't know why I thought this.) It's horrible because I'll be walking somewhere, and it's not loud or anything.. I just let it go and run. The BMs are rediculous, too. But when I don't have them I know I've not been eating well enough. Your body knows how to talk to…

My goal weight is 160 (because this is a weight I REMEMBER being at once... years ago). Currently I'm at 177. Started at 220, went down to 170, then back to 185... whew. What a rollercoaster. Even as a toddler I was chubbier. I don't remember I time when I wasn't a chunky girl. I don't even think I made it to the preteen…

PB2!!! It's great. Half the calories and fat of regular peanut butter. It's just dehydrated peanuts and some sugar. You mix it with water and get peanut butter. Love it. A little expensive, but I think it's worth it if you eat peanut butter a lot.

Thanks everyone! This is about a lifestyle change not a short term diet. Fruit is good, just try to eat it in moderation.

Exactly... winding yourself down to lower-fat milks is pretty easy. Once you really get used to 1% try skim. It might be weird at first so maybe you could do half skim half 1%. After a while you can never go back.

I actually think the pb is TOO salty. And too sweet... I have both chocolate and regular. I got mine from a local health food store. Regular grocery stores don't carry it. On their website they have a store locator which is where I found my nearest location (and the only one within 50 miles actually, hah.)

I'm also a college student (biology) so I use all my extra time trying to work my muscles. This is probably obvious but when I'm walking to class I just try to walk faster. If I'm going upstairs I'll raise my legs higher for each step. Anything helps. As for gym workouts I try to rotate between elliptical, fast walking…

Thanks everyone! Gotta get myself some popcorn (no butter :( ) and carrots.

You'll either have to type them all in separately (like 1 tbsp mw, 1 slice cheese...) or go to another recipe calorie calculator and do it there.

I like your advice bosanka. I've been noticing that almost every day I eat about 10 grams more sugar than MFP says I'm supposed to eat. I get frustrated because I don't eat cookies or candy or anything that has "sugar" in it... but I still go over. I do eat a lot of fruit and bread, though. I'll make it a new goal to watch…
