  • This happened to me. Its from putting the ingredients in the wrong way. Sounds silly.. but it's caused from over mixing the shake and incorporating too much air. Lighter things like protein powder, flax seed, chia, spinach, etc need to go on the bottom. Heavier things like frozen fruit and ice go on top. If you wet…

  • I didn't realize this until after reading all the posts... the original poster is a man. I'd like to know what he thinks about these FEMALE "body types". Does he agree with them? Is this how he views overweight women? Is this just to start conversation? Probably the last considering he hasn't added any other quality…
  • I'm getting the feeling we all have body issues.
  • Uh, I think "fat" looks pretty good. I think that's what I have in my mind as a goal. Sad to hear that's what "fat" is supposed to look like though. :/ And who came up with this anyways. That "normal" looks nearly the same as the "skinny" which really should be called MALNOURISHED. Anybody?
  • I was always under the impression that the stair master builds butt and thigh muscles. I certainly don't need any of those... You're just using your legs to walk up stairs. Wouldn't a workout that worked multiple areas be best like with running (or the terrifying elliptical)?
  • Definitely see your doctor and talk to them about it. He'll make you go on an elimination diet before giving you a simple test to see if you are in fact allergic to them.
  • I've made a lasagna with half eggplant and half pasta. The pasta kind of got in the way of the dish, I think.
  • Groomchick, what is that thing in your profile pic? I WANT!!

  • Aldi= amazing. There is the challenge of things not always being available when you want them. I've found that sometimes they're shifting stock around and won't have something I'm expecting them to have. It's very much like a Costco or Sam's in that manner. But if you're flexible you can get great deals especially on eggs,…

  • I'm hardly a runner, but when I do... " A lot of people don't like eye contact. I like to look people in the eye and wave hello. Some people act like I'm trying to shove my boobs in their face when I do that, looking everywhere but at me, even from several feet away. " LrRooster says it perfectly. It always makes me happy…
  • I would use their regular Mcflurries as a guide (the cookies one or the m&m one). It's probably a regional think (since they are franchises) so you can just estimate an 8 ounce is the same as any 8 ounce.
  • I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't eat a lot of meat. I probably eat meat every other week on average (chicken or fish). When I eat heavier meat like pork or steak I always feel uncomfortable after. Tired, heavy, and full. for some reason, chicken and fish doesn't affect me the same beef/pork does. And it also depends on…
  • I don't think overexercising would be a problem unless you're doing it to the point of exhaustion. Just remember to hydrate! To answer your other question... I tend to burn more calories on the elliptical, but the treadmill works my butt more. So it's whatever you're trying to work on, I guess.
  • Agreed. I can only wear Old Navy jeans anyways... and that style is the pair I wear without a belt. Haha. The other styles require a belt or I end up pulling them off the floor every five minutes/
  • You can make your own. These crackers are pure protein (with maybe a little carbs on the side). I haven't tried them, but the reviews are good.. http://ohsheglows.com/2012/01/31/endurance-crackers/

  • I remember asking my dad the same thing. He said he "didn't know". (which may have been true...) I hate them as well, but I'm not embarrassed by them. It's annoying when people ask you what they are (like they don't know!) and just shrug cause I can't bring myself to say, "It's cause I'm fat, duh."
  • This is a big post already but I thought I'd add my two cents. I think it depends on how your period goes. If you're light then fine work out. But I usually take the first and second days to rest. Those are my heaviest days and I don't want to work out with a bulky pad/tampon. It's horribly uncomfortable for me. But some…
  • Roasted. Brussels. Sprouts. Make it.
  • Raw veggie suck. If you're eating them raw then of course you'll hate them. My dinner tonight was (among other things) roasted sweet potato "fries", roasted squash and zucchini, and homemade veggie spring rolls. Veggie plate! And it was so yummy.
  • Creamers are not good for you. Loaded with hydrogenated fats, yuk. I use almond milk. It's thicker than regular milk and has less fat and calories. I've also heard of people using coconut "creamer" which is just coconut milk. It's true that coconut milk has high saturated fat, but it's vegetable fats not animal fats. Plus…
  • That is so great! Life does get better... if you want it to be. People think that good things should be handed to them, but a healthy and happy life comes through hard work.
  • Even if you're tired of eating eggs, I know a way you can eat your eggs without eating eggs. Bahaaha it's like a riddle. Eggs are tasty when added to oatmeal (which you already eat) and it makes your oatmeal taste awesome too!! Just mix in a beaten egg into cooking oatmeal (not boiling oatmeal) and stir really fast to…
  • I don't think anything is negative calories. It's something like... everything has calories but your body works harder to process things with higher cellulose (which is undigestible). So if you're looking for extra "calorie burn" eat food with high cellulose (like celery, leafy greens, broccoli, etc.). And fruits are…
  • MFP is usually wrong. Unless you're working as hard as you can the whole time you say you work out. So I just use what the machine says. Of course you could spend money and get a heart rate monitor (everyone you ask will tell you the same thing) but I don't use one of these.
  • What if you bring the boxes out on Easter and say, "Look what I got for us!" He'll think you really did get them to share... but if you don't want to share you don't have to. Let him gobble the boxes down himself.
  • Well there's a frostingy thing. That's easily 100 by itself. The bits of fruit could be about 50. The breads are the tricky part. Plus it looks like there a lot of mayo/cream cheese type things in there. So each of those could be 100-200 each. There's three or four "white" things... Altogether (100+50+150(3)) should give…
  • I'm currently reading Harry Potter 5 since I never finished the series... almost done then on to 6!! But I have a stack of classics I just bought (don't have a kindle/nook) and I want to start with The Jungle Book. Btw, classics are free on e-readers!!
  • Nail biting is a funny thing. Most people do it when they're stressed, and I can say for a fact that I did sometimes bite during stress. But mostly I bit as a habit (bored, perfectionism, etc). I haven't stopped biting, but I've reduced it a lot! I've started painting them! And as you are a male I don't think that would…
  • I read somewhere that those step-machines in the gym do that. You're essentially walking up an endless flight of stairs.
