  • 1. After starting to train, how long before you see the results (weight loss, muscles...)? Its going to differ from each and every person. No one is the same. You probably won't notice results as dramatically or as soon as you'd like.... but others will. In my experience I didn't really see any major changes in my body…
  • I lift mainly because I think muscles are sexy.... and don't ever want to return to being fat. In addition, to compete, my first show is this fall.
  • Wow thanks for sharing everyone, it gave me some insight. I currently still eat meat, but am trying to experiment and possibly get into being a vegetarian or vegan. My only concern is trying to make my macros, especially as a bodybuilder competitor. It seems challenging enough to get 200+ grams of protein in a day as is,…
  • I would say try eating a wider selection of carbs. It seems that some breads, pastas, oatmeals, etc are usually high calorie. Don't cut them completely, but maybe try eating some more veggies and fruit instead to try to lower numbers. Also make sure you are accurately measuring, weighing, counting, etc. all the foods that…
  • Feel free to add me. I'm an active user and will support you anyway that I can =]
  • The brand label on mine seemed to have came off, but I use a thinner fabric one as opposed to a thick plastic/leather one. I found that the really thick ones usually would dig into my skin and be uncomfortable when trying to do a full squat.
  • Bodybuilding.com There are tons of programs, videos, articles, community, etc. Can't go wrong there. If not, perhaps look into getting a trainer or someone who knows about weightlifting at your gym. I would love to help you, unfortunately I'm not very good and explaining things over the internet lol. I started at 38% body…
  • It could be a variety of things, but don't let it discourage you. Take a break if needed. Back pain could just be the muscles sore from working out, improper form (I see this a lot with people doing squats), improper posture, weak back muscles, or another health condition or prior incident that may make your back more…
  • Yes I've always struggled with belly fat. I've just been trying to do more cardio the past couple weeks, and trying to eat more strict on macros, and diet. It sucks because I've lost a lot of body fat since I started this journey (18% body fat lost) but I still can't seem to get rid of my belly. Hoping in the next few…
  • Easy on the go: Protein shakes are always easys, throw in some mixed berries, a bag of assorted nuts/almonds, rice cakes with peanut butter, apple slices and peanut butter. If you can meal prep or make the night before: Oatmeal in crock pot over night, add honey and berries. No Bake protein bars in muffin tins (many…
  • Thanks, I never thought of lettuce wraps. I will have to try them out. Those seasonings will certainly help :)
  • My max calories for the day is 1800 but I find I rarely ever max out, so I will have a snack after my work out, but I generally try not to eat them back!
  • Good job, keep at it. There is no defined answer to if it is normal or not, because everyone's body is different. If you are new to this journey, you can expect that it will take time for your body to adjust and metabolism to become more active. Do not get discouraged. We all hit bumps in the road, cheat meals, and even…
  • I personally only weigh myself once every 4-6 weeks. Your weight can fluctuate so much depending on a number of variables. The best way to weigh yourself is at the same time (I do first thing in the morning, before I eat), and naked (yes, clothes can be a couple of pounds). Also, you may want to look into getting a body…
  • I'm in need of more friends. I'm active on here and will support others. I came from 38% body fat to 19% body fat, I can help you!
  • Hey everyone, I'm Kayla, from Canada, I have been on the journey to becoming a female NATURAL bodybuilder for the past two years. I had an injury and a few slips here and there, but I have come a long way. I came from 38% body fat at 120 pounds, to 140 pounds at 19% body fat. I am competing in my first amateur show this…
