For me as a diabetic, I am actually more interested in foods than going off them. Thanks to this site and the android app on phone, I've started to check up a lot more on the things I used to love eating and still do, and in many cases actually shocked at just how much crap gets put in them. Like cheese, 4 slices of gouda…

This is certainly no cure, can't honestly say there is one, but in my honest opinion this would help. Government legislation to enforce a very high price on any foods that contain large amounts of sugar or corn or other based syrups, be it food or drinks. That money saved then be put in to subsidising healthy more…

Totally agree with ya on that, I would die of shame if the day ever came where I had to use one of them, would never use one in hospital either, always used my walking stick, omg that image of ya description stuck in my head. Funnily enough, the only super stores I have seen them in here is Asda, which is walmarts sister…

I so agree with most of that, most people have no idea and eating out is a norm in most places now. not like a barcode is printed on a receipt so it can be scanned for dietary info, though would be cool if we could lol.. And yeah sizes well bigger now, even i remember going McD's and their large milkshake was like a tiny…

I'm in the UK, and things not much better here. I do think about the problem, but not all us people can be blamed. For instance: As a diabetic, it is far more important to me to watch my sugar intake than calories or fat, though cholesterol important too. Because of this, I have to look at foods in a uch different way to…

So if any of you have any probs with diabetes, or just want a friend in general please feel free to add me. Huggz to all. :)

due to ill health and lack of mobility, I do keep an eye on my calories but just as a guide. For me being diabetic, I use the charts for sugar, sodium and cholesterol. For instance, I can have under 1000cal and not loose weight, yet some days I can go on a binge of ready salted crisps and actually loose a pound next…

Personally, it fine, My mum had bad relationships with men her own or similar age, then met this guy who was 18 years younger than her. they were together for 17 years, till she died, and they were as close as close can be. So I say go for it and may you both enjoy life.

I don't follow any real diet, been a diabetic for 20+ years now, at one point on the diets the dieticians gave me to follow, my sugars were so high the meter just read H1. 18 months ago, got told change my lifestyle or damage behind my left eye would need severe lazer surgery. So I studied up on my meds ditched everything…

Friends and family maybe awesome in peaceful times, but when it comes to money and taking advantage of those close to them, they are the worst of the worst, as they automatically think, i'm family, we're friends, should do it for free.... virtually everyone in my family is like that, i just tell them go find someone else…
