Ginormous difference in body composition scales. After buying and returning numerous ones I found the "Omron HBF-516" and LOVE IT! I take my weight daily but my body stats once a week. In my opinion this is the best scale under $300. I got mine for $80 delivered to my front door. For athletes the ironman composition scales…

Dhiggins, your resting heart rate is 72? Wow my friend thats high. Please be carefull when exercising. With a resting HR that high it makes me worry about your blood pressure and other stats. If this is really your resting heart rate i would suggest you design an exercise and diet routine through a professional i.e. doctor…

So your 33 years old and your weight isn't extreme. I think your HRM is functioning improperly. For your age and weight walking shouldn't get your heart to 170 bpm.
-
What was your average heart rate during your walk? 420 calories in 35 minutes is a heckuva burn unless your heartrate was pretty high.

I also keep a stock of "tv dinners" in the freezer. I try not to eat them too much but I like the taste and the nutrition label for most of Amy's bowls. I just add some protein with a shake or mix in a good protein source. http://www.amys.com/products/

27 pounds lost since March 8th? Wow! I'm bettin you lost some muscle. :( Below I pasted a link that's a pretty good article. I like the site as well for general nutrition artciles.

Saw a lot of folks mention fruits. Remember fruit gets in your tummy and can turn funky quick when mixed when other foods. Not harmfull but causes bloating and belching. Fermentation burps, nasty nasty. :)
-
Well I for one would party on! When I do splurge I take a couple cayenne pills in the middle of the meal. One cheat meal a week is good for the soul. :)
-
Keep in mind your "fat burn" and "cardio zones" aren't static. They will be dynamic relative to your effort and progress. I have seen my limits change over the last few years.

I bought and returned several. I decided that the "Omron HBF-516" was the scale that would give me the biggest bang for my buck. I've had it for over 6 months and love it. I ordered mine from Newegg.com and it cost me $80 delivered to my door.

I use the arc and I think your caloric burn is about right for your heart rate.

Haha I feel your pain. I read the posts and I tell ya I'm one jealous fella of these folks that can drink a glass of water and make the chocolate cravings go away. For me the only thing that makes the chocolates go away is chocolate. Here's some general thoughts on sweets treats and losing weight. I'll speak in first…

Mix your protein powder with water.

Agree with Sue. Lots of raw natural foods. Also it appears you need more calories. How much water do you drink on an average day? Remember healthy weight loss is what your striving for. All pounds aren't created equal. Protect muscle, it's difficult to put on.

1,000 calories a workout?! Or is that your daily goal after exercise? Also open your diary and I'm sure you'll get some great tips. Don't get discouraged. Did you take your measurments as well before starting p90x?

I'm a big fan of cayenne it has many many benefits. I take it in capsule form usually about 2-4 pills a day. Word of caution...take it with food! In the middle of the meal preferably. Take it from me if there is one thing you don't want is cayenne pill heartburn. Been there done that and am very careful not to let it…

The back part of the upper arm is the triceps. It's the largest muscle in your arms...yes bigger than the glamorous biceps :) You can google tricep exercises but basically when you are pushing away with your arms you are engaging the triceps, example pushups. If you can't do a bunch of pushups start lighter. Lean against a…

Wow is all I can say. She is an excellent writer and the recipes sound terrific. Thank you :)

My assumption is that the majority of weight you lost is water. I would encourage everyone to get a body composition scale. The majority of people on a diet lose weight at the rate of 60% fat 40% muscle. Proper nutrition will really amplify your results and when we look in the mirror and say yaaa baby!!! That's motivation!…

Wow very intrigued by your almond milk recipe. I'm going to try that. For the condiments I just use store bought. The quantity I use is so small that I've rationalized it's just easier :) Whats strange is that the amount of condiments I apply to meals has reduced drastically. Their sweet as heck now lol. Regular milk…

Hey I like this thread. No PF is basically the rule of my eating plan. Discovering raw foods has truley been an eye opening journey. . I think the only two things in my diet that are processed is unsweetened almond milk and liquid egg whites. Condiments and supplements also now I think about it.
-
Egg whites, skinless chicken breasts, dairy in moderation, almonds, beans and legumes are some suggestions. Also a protien powder should be in everyones cupboard along with some meal replacement bars. Don't let yourself get to hungry. I know I for one will rationalize putting anything in my mouth if I let myself get to…

There's no coke on MFP lol ;)

12 grams of sugar in milk. Try unsweetened almond milk. Tastes like chalk alone but mix in some protien or fruit and it's darn yummy.
