  • I am not so sure I will stop. "Ballparking" calories has failed me. I suspect I will continue to log more often than not even at my goal weight.
  • @Jokenmit Yeah, I guess it could be a good motivator. I didn't realize it would make such a difference.
  • I have them, but I still try to log. The allowance I give myself is the calories in my deficit. I personally do not want to exceed that.
  • A certain member is longer. The padding at the base is decreasing, so more protrudes.
  • I just wonder if the body gives us signs when we are not eating enough. When I started here, I would often be 400-600 calories under my daily goals and I lost the color in my face and had no energy. When I brought it up, my color returned and the energy came back. Is there a middle ground where you maintain a healthy color…
  • I have lost about 28 pounds in the past 2 months. It started to slow down about a month ago, so I started walking. First about a mile every other day. Now I am doing 2 miles most days (I take 2-3 days off). It has picked up pace again t the point where I eat back my calories and still am losing rather quickly. I now wish I…
  • If there is room, I would like to join.
  • I would give it some time. There are weeks I lose 1 pound, and others I lose 4. And I am really good about staying within my goals. I tend to look at things in terms of progress over the course of months. I am averaging about 10 pounds a month, regardless of what one week does versus the next. Give it some time and see…
  • ^^^ That works for me as well. I can accelerate it if I accidentally burn a little bit one day, then go out and do the 15 minute exposures after.
  • Great job! You look great!
  • It was around 30 pounds where people I see all the time started to notice. Well into the 40's before people I see occasionally started to notice. Now at almost 60, I am starting to get asked regularly.
  • I am a pound away from 60 pounds lost and I have a bit of extra skin sag. But for me it seems the sag is consistent, like the amount of fat lost is riding in some sort of delayed tandem with the firming of the skin. It is just enough to keep some sagging, but it doesn't seem to be getting worse.
  • It will usually just be for the main item and you have to add the sides separate. You are also likely going to find multiple listings for the same item with varying calorie counts. If I am not in the mood to research, I go with the highest to play it safe.

  • For me, I never realized what my actual calorie intake was. I assumed I was not eating much. After I started counting and having to see what all this stuff adds up to, it opened my eyes. Now I see WHY I got so big. It wasn't ;laziness, it was ignorance.
  • It isn't that far off for me. I hit the goals about a week ahead of its prediction.
  • Even guys can have issues with this. I have long, slender legs and a small butt. My natural waist is rather low and small compared to my torso. I wear pants with the waist higher up around my stomach so I never had a gut flopping over my pants. The issue you run into doing that is the legs tend to larger in diameter and…
  • Anyone go to LA Fitness in Greenwood on 135? Been thinking about joining as it is literally across the street from my house.
  • The extra skin is bugging me. Being on the road having to eat out all the time sucks too.
  • I use the MFP app on my phone to find the calories and make a decision. You would be surprised how many calories is hiding in mayo, fries and soda. If you go with a chicken sandwich, look for grilled. You can eat just about anywhere and be just fine. Just be choosy about what you eat.
  • I quit soda about 2 years ago and started drinking unsweetened iced tea. I lost a lot of water weight. How much? I am not sure but I could see the difference in my legs, hands and feet the most. They were no longer swollen looking and my tendons and veins were more prominent. I am thinking for me the worst part was the…
  • My feet and legs are rather disproportionally thinner than my upper body. The most weight I carried in them was water weight. They were bloated. My hands I started seeing a difference about 30 pounds down. I can see the tendons and veins now and the fingers are slimmer.
  • With all that walking, you may have also increased some muscle mass and offset the number. Also, our bodies fluctuate a lot. I like to weigh myself on an empty stomach. You would be surprised how much food in your digestive system can affect your weight.
  • Here is a reality. While you can lose a ton of weight starving yourself, at a certain point it will not be fat, but muscle. You will be flabby with very little muscle tone. Once you start eating enough to feed your muscles, they will tone back up and push the fat in front of them out and you will be fat again. FWIW: I…
  • Rather than set a weight loss goal, set a goal for maintaining weight. I am rather sure once you start counting calories, you can't ever stop.
  • Why not set some limits to the "cheat" day? Rather than eat everything in sight, just up your intake max from your deficit? I am on a 900 calorie a day deficit right now. For me, a cheat day means I will not have the full 900+ calorie deficit. I may only have 200-300, or none if I go really crazy. It doesn't undo a thing…
  • Only if they have calories. I have my coffee listed daily. But I pretty much only drink unsweetened iced tea during the day, so I do not count it.
  • I own my dream car. My neighbors 1969 Dodge Charger I drooled over in the 80's when The Dukes of Hazzard was new. Tracked it down and bought it 9 years ago.
  • What a difference! Great job!
  • Congrats! Keep up the great work!
  • Whenever my clothes feel like they are fitting differently.
