Been on a couple of cruises...there is plenty of LCHF stuff (eggs, bacon, butter, cheese, meat, salad bar, ask for hollandaise sauce to top your fish/meat at dinner, bunless cheeseburger at pool bar, antipasti-salami, prosciutto, mozzarella, olives etc, beef/chicken fajitas-no wrap, meat, cheese, guac etc) to choose from.…

Right now-the scale is really messing with my head.

Sure. Off topic but related: I'm so mad at the scale this morning ... up 1.6 pounds over yesterday after being +/- 0.2 pounds for 3 weeks. I can think of some reasons-did most strenuous walk yesterday in 2 months-hills, really pushed myself and my legs are screaming this morning; plus had extra salt and bouillon yesterday…

Chicken livers are super cheap. Take a 1/2 pound, poach or saute for 3-5 min until just slightly pink. Cool them then add to food processor with 1 1/2 sticks of butter and salt/pepper and any other seasoning you like. Refrigerate covered well with plastic wrap (I use ramekin with a lid over the wrap). I like to take a…

How about some extra egg whites thrown in with regular scrambled eggs? I think there is about 5 grams protein in a 3 TBSP serving of EggBeaters liquid Egg Whites (or whatever you have there in Australia)

The only real cheats I'm allowing right now is a drink (whiskey or red wine) occasionally.

I omitted fruit for 30 days and have been having 1/4 cup of either raspberries or blueberries with a slug of HWC every day. I don't think you have to stay away from fruit but you don't want to be dumping a couple of bananas in your smoothie. Berries have fiber and are satisfying (to me) and they fit in my less than 25 net…

I buy the whole turkey breasts, roasted, at Costco. Once home, I cut in half and wrap 1/2 very thoroughly in plastic, then foil, then a freezer bag. Pop that half in freezer, slice the other half. For a quick meal (works well on the go), grab 2-4 oz turkey and add some cheese, avo, guac or whatever your heart desires. If…

Just added you (both). To add, click on the person's user name below their photo or avatar. Then keep clicking "add as friend" until MFP tells you a message has been sent, then just back up a few clicks to get back to the page you were on.

Goal is net 20-25; most days I'm under. Just adding 1/4 cup of berries per day (I really miss them) but doesn't really make a big difference.

Suzy, serial yo-yo'er; up and down 20-25 pounds-can lose but haven't found a WOE I can stick with. Mid 50's, part-timer, travel (ie-eat out) a lot. I've actually found this to be the easiest WOE for eating out. Currently 162; goal 145-I know I can get there, and hope this is the *One* that will help me stay there! Can we…

I have done that the past 10 days or so and have found I am not hungry until much later than any other day, even those when I had a high fat bfast.

I have a beautiful piece of pork belly in the fridge-how do you prepare it? I've made it once-it was just ok, not yummy like you get at restaurants.

Please keep us posted. Cluck, cluck.

(*) Well done!

The dreaded CICO-calories in, calories out-prevalent way of thinking about weight loss that just doesn't work if you are over 30 or don't spend your whole life exercising.

We all have, or will at some point. Put it behind you and carry on! Next time, have a good talking to yourself as you are heading to happy hour and decide what you will and won't do and stick to it.
