You can adjust the carb-protein-fat ratio under custom goals or under settings. MFP sets protein pretty low. Maybe someone else will chime in on what ratio you should be eating--it will vary based on your goals & preferences.

I clip my red blinky bike light to the back of my fanny pack or shirt. I've also thought about getting a head lamp.

With "friends" like that who needs enemies right? I gave up soda 20-25 yrs ago b/c I was always thirstier after drinking it than before. You will feel so much better once you have broken up with that "friend". Good luck to you! :flowerforyou:

thanks, that looks interesting! My body weight scale gives me my body fat %, it uses a method called impedence where a little electric current is sent through your body. Electricity travels at different speeds through different types of body tissue (fat, muscle) and calculates your body fat %. I've heard it's not as…

Yes you should try to eat at least half. There are some threads posted at the top of the general weight loss forum for newbies that explain about how the calorie deficit is still there when you eat your exercise cals.
-
yum
-
you should also make sure you're accurately estimating your calories burned during your workout. A heart rate monitor is the best way to do this.

I have the exact same problem the few times I've encountered candy corns. Weird isn't it?

What's whole grain popcorn?

Another great discovery I made (I might rediscovered the wheel here) is beef jerky--love the Trader joe's original. I've also seen turkey and salmon jerky around.

I actually weigh mine. 1 tablespoon (16g for Trader's crunchy pnut butter) is so small!

Lately I've been making a greek salad (tomatoes, olives, cucumber, feta) and adding some tuna for protein. Yummy.

Yes, take it easy--and don't give your bug to your trainer! HOpe you feel better soon. :flowerforyou:

seeing that you only have 8lbs to lose, you will want to have only a very small deficit, like less than 500 cals/day, which equates to less than 1/2 lb loss per week. So you will still be eating quite a bit.
-
Hi You will still maintain a caloric deficit when you eat your exercise calories. there are lots of good threads to read to completely explain how it works, they are stuck to the top of the general weight loss forum. I put one link below. good luck & welcome!…
-
You might need to adjust your intake to a smaller calorie deficit, like a half pound or less per week. It gets harder to lose as you get closer to the goal.
-
I eat all of my exercise calories  In my previous post, I didn't mean to imply that I advocated against eating them.
-
The calorie deficit remains when you eat your exercise calories. If you don't eat your exercise calories, the deficit will be that much bigger.
