  • Sadly... a few short years ago... these excuses were all mine... I think I used so many of them that I started to believe them... I was so unhealthy and overweight that 3 minutes on a treadmill, zero incline, 2.0 speed and I was sweating and honestly could not breathe.. I was the lady leaning on the grocery cart and barely…

  • I LOVE Insanity.. and it's not hurt me in any way.. in fact I have more endurance and I am much stronger now than when I started it. I do it in group class at our gym, 3 days a week. In 2011 I lost 129 pounds... then 2012 I hit the "wall" and I plateaued and stayed there... until I added Insanity twice a week to my normal…
  • I don't want to guess what is "too many" as I am sure it's different for everyone... but it's not fair to the collie mix to be in a small apartment. We have a border collie and they need lots of room to run and they need lots of exercise and attention. Being in a small apartment with only 1 or 2 humans would be too much…
  • I agree with a previous poster about including the girls in outings with you and their dad as well as inviting them to fun stuff with just you. To show them you are not buying their love.. make them simple outings that cost little or nothing.. picnics, walks, swimming, etc... bake cookies together or try something that…
  • This is exactly what I was thinking.. you are #1 in a romantic love and they are #1 in family love. Think of it this way.. if you ever have kids with him... you know exactly what kind of father your child is getting and as a mother, we all want that kind of father for our kids.. where he would do anything and lay down his…
  • Love yourself enough to know that you are worth it!
  • sounds good.. thanks for sharing
  • I remember when I got that NSV... it feels so good and I know exactly what you mean!! congrats!!!!
  • air popped is even lower in calories... :)
  • I used to hate exercise... until I fell in love with Zumba... it's the best... fun, music, dancing... and you burn a ton of calories :)
  • For me, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday... but most of what I love about Thanksgiving is the people and atmosphere... not the food... and my favorite foods are pretty healthy anyway (such as turkey)... so I plan to have what I want within reason.... so if it is higher calorie I will have a smaller serving. I am not…
  • I have never eaten a butternut squash... but this sounds good so I think I will try it :) THanks for sharing
  • This sounds yummy thanks for sharing
  • Fat free sour cream mixed with a hidden valley ranch dip mix (my fave is fiesta ranch) and then different veggies for dipping. Air popped popcorn with kernal's seasonings sour cream and onion sprinkles. They have other flavors too to keep it interesting.
  • We went there in Myrtle Beach when it first opened this summer. It's the same as Dixie Stampede was. It was cream of veggie soup, a cheese biscuit, half a roasted chicken, two fried shrimp, a bbq pork rib, mashed potatoes, mini corn on cob in butter sauce, and an apple turnover
  • My husband and I both tried it. We both gained our weight back and then some too. I thought that wouldn't happen since we went to the doctor and had prescriptions. But in the end it didn't teach us to make better choices, it tricked us into thinking we were full way too soon so we simply were starving ourselves but what…
  • I either do a spaghetti squash "crust" or get a whole wheat pita (60 cals each) and make mini pizzas on them. they are about the size of a personal pizza at a restaurant
  • Why not cut 15 min off the workout and get a shower just before the hubby leaves for work?
  • Tell them the upside is that it will grow back before either of them get married and therefore will not ruin any of their wedding photos :) Seriously it's cute... I have been debating on a new cut/style ... and a shorter one.. but I am scared as my hair hasn't changed for years... maybe I'll put it on my list of things to…
  • The problem with a closet is that you have to be sure you have adequate "air space" around the compressor so be sure there is a gap all the way around the freezer and that nothing falls down to block the vents around the compressor. But if you aren't in and out of it every day, just put it wherever and drape a table cloth…
  • That is a great idea.. and maybe check with local gyms... our gym if you volunteer a set 2 hr shift per week in the daycare of our gym you get a free membership to the gym which includes the classes like zumba, etc. we have moms that take their kids with them while they "work" and then they utilize the day care to workout…
  • do you have a play pen for the little one that you could put her to sleep in a living area and work out in the basement when she is napping?
  • Use any of the above techniques to get the "noodles" out... then just make your cheese sauce and mix it together.. or put it on the plate and pour the cheese sauce over and let everyone mix their own.... I have done that with alfredo sauce and it works great
  • Same here... in fact, I have rarely eaten them back, but I have had plenty of weight to lose so this may change for me the closer I get to goal weight.. but for now, I eat when I am hungry and make sure I am eating a balanced diet... :)
  • fat free mayo, a little splenda, and balsamic vinegar
  • I just figured out a typical 3 meal day for myself last year... this doesn't count snacks... and I am at 3585 calories for just the three meals... and I had at least 2, sometimes 3 or 4 snacks a day.... I knew I ate bad... I wonder now how on earth I wasn't bigger than I was... so glad that stuff doesn't appeal to my taste…
  • I don't have anything but I really want to watch this and get some new ideas for my squash other than the same old thing as they just keep growing and growing this year :)
  • I like it steamed rather than boiled. And it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to steam it if you cut it in small "chunks". Or you can cut it in bite size pieces and saute them in a little bit of oil or with the cooking spray.
  • How awesome!!! Pics are wonderful too.. but knowing you can do whatever you want now is the best!!! You are an inspiration!!
  • we do air popped popcorn... 3 cups is only 92 calories ... no sodium or sugar
