  • Ok, so for those of you not on my friends list, a little explanation....this upcoming week is going to be alittle messed up for me. My biggest problem: I am working Friday from 9 am till Saturday at 1 am (working both jobs back to back). So I needed to take Friday off. So I figured I would tweak the Insanity schedult to…
  • shainindi and tiggercub20- welcome to Insanity!!! By all means, please feel free to join our crew. We are all at different stages of the workout, which works out great for everybody. I am currently in Week 5 (Recovery Week) w/ one day left before my rest day. And then it's off to Month 2!!! There are a few people that are…
  • Recovery Week my a#*!!!!!!! I am recovering cardio wise, but my legs are toast!!! I am really starting to be concerned about completing the next 4 weeks. My legs are completely burnt out. Jello to say it another way!!! BUt it's all good!!! Almost 5 WEEKS OF INSANITY DONE!!!!!!! I still can't believe I made it this far. To…
  • To know your actual calorie burn, you need to invest in a good Heart Rate Monitor (w/ chest strap). Any number you get from MFP or elsewhere is just a guess. Your number of calories burned could be higher, lower, or the same as what the website suggests. I was using Circuit Training General for Insanity, and then got a…
  • First off, I am not a dietician or doctor...I am just giving you my opinion based on the information I can see in your diary. I looked back over a week of your diary, and I wouldnt say you are eating too little. 5 of 7 days you were actually over your calorie goal. and the 2 days you were under, you were too far under. I…
  • I am doing Insanity- it's cardio circuit training, with some strength exercises (using your own body weight). It is a 9 week program, and I am currently on week 5. It's awesome!!! I have also done Zumba (I know, I know....lol) and Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I bore easily, so the first two lost there appeal after 2…
  • Honestly, everyone is different. Any number you get from any website, whether it MFP, Tae Bo, or anything else, will only be a guess as to what you burned, and in my opinion, I wouldn't trust the number. A HRM will help you considerably in knowing what you burn. Just remember to subtract out your BMR from whatever the HRM…
  • Recovery huh??? My legs don't seem like they are recovering. My legs have been beat since midway through week 3, and they don't seem to be getting better. Lots of leg exercises tonight which I was a ;little suprised at. Still had a nice burn, and I was sweating too!!! Hopefully I recover enough this week. Week 5 looks…
  • Thanks!!! And I feel it in both. Especially after 4 weeks! I feel it in my hips, groin, hamstring, and my abs. I usually pause, not because my abs hurt, but because either my legs or lower back is bothering me.
  • Ok, ummmm......cows!!!! Those nice juicy steaks at the supermarket....that's just a way for someone to market and make money, isn't it? I get my protein from many scources, one happens to be powder. But I still eat meat and other products containing protein.
  • WEEK 4 OF INSANITY IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RECOVERY WEEK HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made it!!! I can't believe it. I am very proud of myself. 69 pounds ago, I would never have thought of even trying Insanity. And I have now completed 4 weeks of it!!! I feel awesome (except for my right…
  • Ok, just wanted to throw out a tip....for everyone using a HRM, make sure (if you're not already) that you subtract out your BMR calories (calories you'd burn doing nothing during that time). Go to the tools page, and click the BMR tool, click the calculate button. Whatever number shows up, divide by 24, then divide by 60…
  • I can't give you a definitive answer, but my guess would be no. You can try using generic info in MFP. Or, you could always bring in your own food. Good luck!
  • I have not done this. Although I have a Tux jacket that I need to have tailored (it looks like a tent!!!) so I I understand what you're going through. I actually gave away most of my clothes, and am slowly buying back a new wardrobe.
  • Ok, ok, ok....so its an SV....but I don't care. I am under 238 (my lowest adult weight that I can remember). I weighed in this morning and I am at 237.1!!!!!! I look heavier than I did the last time at this weight (I was weight training 3 days a week, 2-3 hours a day...so I was a leaner 238....but I don't care!!!!!) I…
  • Morning peepes!!! Didn't check in the last 2 days, it's been crazy!!! Anyways, Monday was awesome! I felt so much better than I have. Then yesterday came...and the legs resurfaced. Good lord my legs are beat!!! Suffered through most of the DVD. I actually have a friend coming over today, he wants to check out Insanity and…
  • I see no pictures.......
  • . I am with you!!!! Finished Week 3 this morning. My legs felt a little better, but they still kept me from finishing some of the exercises. My arms for that matter too!!! Between Level 1 Drills, Ski Abs, and In and Outs, it was either my legs giving out, or my arms that could no longer hold me up!!! My cardio isn't the…
  • Nice job! Got my kid a basketball hoop for his birthday...maybe I'll have to go play in the yard for a bit....except for the fact that it's raining... Great job!
  • Woke up early and worked out. My legs felt a little better (which I was surprised at). But mornings are really not my thing. I just could not push myself hard enough (in my opinion). But it was better than the alternative, which would have been working out at 9 tonight! One more day till rest day (well, at least from…
  • Cardin Recovery today, and man did I need it! 2 and 1/2 weeks in and my legs are toast. I think I could actually do more, if my legs felt better. They are just exhausted! 2 more days till rest day! I can't wait. And that means 1 week and 2 days till Recovery Week! And then....hell! Lol...I really hope I can finish. I want…
  • Stooooo- I still have 6 1/2 weeks of Insanity. He just started Rush Fit, and I believe it's a 60 day program. So if we do the swap, it won't be until Summertime. But if I do it, I will definitley post up a thread on it. So you really believe Insanity is harder? Damn!!! In my head I was 100 times more afraid of P90X!!!…
  • I don't know. They are both really different. I believe P90X is more strength, where as Insanity is more cardio. I have a friend who has done 3 rounds of P90X, and after he finishes Rush Fit, we're going to trade (Rush Fit for Insanity). Hope that helps.
  • Figured I'd resurect my own thread.....a few more of my recent NSV's: My wedding band now has 2!!! bandaids wrapped around it so that it doesn't go flying off my finger. I finally went through my wardrobe, and between 2 of my friends, I gave them 6 jeans, 8 shorts, 6 khakis/dress pants, and 2 dress shirts. Of course this…

  • Didn't get a chance to post up yesterday....so Day 6 of Week 2 done!!! 2 weeks of 9 in the bag!!! Cardio Abs was brutal. It's amazing how bad my abs hurt and I didn't do any crunches!!!! lol While although it was painful, I rather enjoyed the different way to work my abs. Day off today, which I needed. And tomorrow is my…
  • Day 5 of Week 2 down. I felt good! Scared as hell of tomorrow. First time to pump it up a little longer. And the Cardio Abs just sounds painful. We shall see!!!! Really looking forward to Mondays Fit Test (and my remeasurement to see if I've lost any inches anywhere!!!) I am still amazed that I'm doing this. Shaun T is…
  • I dodn't start the thread, but personally, the more the merrier (ok, well maybe not merry...this is tough stuff!!! lol) Jump in. We can all use the motivation. I have 2 days to finish week 2, and then I get to measure up on Monday!!!
  • I wouldn't. I am not a nutritionist, so I can't give you a definitive answer. But I would leave them behind and start the next day anew.
