  • By all means, jump in!!! You're in for a hell of a workout!!!
  • Ok, a few more NSV's this week. My boss' Mother In Law (whom I haven't seen in about 3-4 months) didn't recognize me when she saw me lastnight!!! Went to put my Tux on lastnight, (I am a DJ for a wedding company- and we also produce bridal shows) and had to do the show with no Tux jacket. I looked at myself in the mirror,…
  • Day 4 Week 2 down. It was nice to have the recovery day today. My lower back is bothering me quite a bit. Actually, I'm sitting on the couch typing this with an ice pack on my back. Didn't burn as many calories this time, but still a nice start to my day. I decided since it was the recovery day, that I would get up early…
  • ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!! Seriously????? I'm sitting on the couch today, staring at the Insanity box, saying to myself "Good lord, I do not feel like getting off the couch...screw this!!!! I'm not doing it today!!!" Then I said to myself "Get up jack *kitten*!!!! You started this- you're finishing it!!!" I felt beat through the…
  • I will definitely try this. Thanks Neo!
  • Day 1 & 2 of week 2 in the bag. Day 3 today (in about an hour). I tried to do it yesterday early morning, and that was a mistake. Suffered bad through the whole thing. Won't make that mistake again!!!
  • I am not a nutritionist or Dr, however, from what I have read, and now am experiencing, you should eat back your exercise calories. I don't know if I would do it at 9 pm, but yes you should eat them back. Try to plan in advance. If you know you will be doing this workout again, make sure you pad up good calories during the…
  • So I gave my Dad my UFC jacket (it was hard to part with it...I really want to order a new one!!!) And today at work, a fellow employee came back from an extended vacation (over 2 months), and he said to his wife "Did you see Mike? He slimmed down." Her reply...."Where is he? I didn't see him." And when he pointed me…
  • Awesome job everyone. It's very motivational to read about everyones success stories! Keep them coming!
  • Awesome story. And congrats on the quick comeback......I'm still laughing!!!
  • Day 6 down. A little easier than the first time. And I was able to finish more of the exercises...although I didn;t come anywhere close to finishing all. But still amazing the difference from 5 days ago. It's crazy what you can make your body do!!! Kinda glad tomorrow is an off day. I could definitley use it. But it will…
  • I will reluctantly represent....NJ. Sorry, lived here all my life, and I really want to get out of this state.
  • Thanks!!! I still think I look bad- that belly is still rather large!!!! But it's better than it was. So thanks again!!! Day 5- Pure Cardio in the bag!!! That was rough. It's bad when Shaun T is taking breaks!!! But I made it through. One more day then a rest day....woo hoo!!!!! Can't believe I made it a week!!! Keep up…

  • No one joined in on my thread, so if you don't mind, I'll jump in with yours. Day 4 down also. Cardio Recovery was interesting. Lots of stretches and yoga...interesting!!! I still burned 329 calories (according to the HRM). Looking forward to Day 5 and beating myself up again....wait...did I just say that?????? And to…
  • I just started. I finished Day 3 today. I started a thread yesterday, if you want to joi in.... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/204536-insanity-the-newest-thread
  • My wife bought it, and it seems to be pretty accurate. She bought it at Costco for $43.99.
  • I already set it with my age and weight. It did give me a target range, but the calculators I found online were different than what the HRM says. I am trying to figure out if I should leave it alone, or adjust it. So I'm looking for anyone that knows how or where I can go to calculate my target heart range. Thanks for the…
  • If you're offering, I'd be more than happy to message you my address's so you can mail me a check! Lol. I am happy...I don't have the money to buy new clothes.
  • Thrift stores....I never even thought about that. Thanks guys, that's a great idea!!! And selling my clothes....I guess I could do some. I just hate the whole process of selling stuff on the internet. Plus donating makes me feel good!! But thanks for the suggestions!!!
  • Day 3 in the books- Cardio Power & Resistance. Wow!!! I feel like crap- and by that, I mean that I am struggling through all the exercises. This is one tough, and rewarding workout. I curse myself through it (WHY DID I MAKE MYSELF DO THIS???!!!!!), but I finish, and am very happy that I push myself through. I guess it…
  • It happens. Don't beat yourself up over it. Pick back up, and move on today. You had one bad day in what a month???? That's not bad. It will actually probably shock your system (in a good way). It will reiginite your metabolism. Seriously, you had a bad day. It was just one day. Just don't have that day today, or tomorrow,…
  • I begin by saying I'm not a nutritionist, so take my advice with a grain of salt. but yes, Crystal Light counts. So does coffee and tea (although you don't actually get all the water due to the diaretic effect of caffiene). You also get water from your food (especially fruits and vegetables- although I have yet to find a…
  • Hey guys, wanted to check in with you guys. I'm not abandoning you, just changing my exercise routine. I was kinda getting bored of Jillian, and if I get bored, I won;t work out. Jillian kicked my butt in a good way. But I am moving on to Insanity. She actually prepped me pretty good. I did the Fitness Test yesterday and…

  • No Shred for me today. Decided on trying out an elliptical at my neighbors house. Did 22 minutes. Owwwwwwwww! Don't know how much more Shred I am going to do. I am almost getting bored with it. I need to keep changing. I am thinking about rotating through a few different workouts....and also contemplating Insanity…
  • Hey everyone- I started reading through (got to page 3) and figured I'd just skip to the end and ask a few questions....I am considering starting Insanity. A friend from work lent it to me, so it's just sitting by the TV staring at me. I have one serious question before I start- my current expextations for myself are to…
  • Day 17, Day 3 Level 3 completed. Still struggling through which I'm sure has something to do with my 9 day layoff, but I'm getting there. Hope everyone is doing well.
  • Hey everybody, I'm finally back. Glad to see you're all still Shredding! So after a 9 day layoff (between work, and getting sick), I finally did Day 16, Day 2 Workout 3. And damn, the layoff made me rusty. I did netter than I expected, but could definitely see a difference. My arms and legs were killing me! But I'm happy…
  • I use "Generic - Grapes, Red or Green Seedless 1 Cup, 160 g". I actually measure out the 160 grams, and it lists it as 114 calories. Don't know if that helps or not.
