Thanks so much!! It looks like I'm making a trip to the shoe store. I also really appreciate the tips regarding stretching and resting. I think I need to just ease into it too. I'm so excited about running that I want to just run already!!!!!

Thank you for your reply. You cracked me up! I can definitely understand your affinity for fitness wear. I could go there too, especially now that my shape is coming back. I don't think I will buy anything yet. We'll see where I am when spring arrives. Well, maybe I'll buy some work out gear! LOL :-)

15 pounds is a BIG deal! Congratulations. Doesn't that just motivate you to keep trying and do more?

Celebrate EVERY pound.....for that matter, celebrate every 1/2 pound. The big picture is that the weight IS coming off, and YOU are making it happen! Way to go! Enjoy your day. ;-)

I think it's the "before" pictures that make us all appreciate the journeys we are on. You look great, and I know you will inspire many with your pics.

You look amazing! I have so much respect for you because you did it the good old fashioned way - sweat and nutrition. Thank you for posting pictures. I am really impressed. Good luck with the rest of your journey. You can do it!!

Amazing! You look great, and 13 lbs is no small thing. I wish I had more pics at my heaviest because then I could see the improvement too. Thanks for sharing!

You stated that so well! I completely agree. :-) *That was mean for everyone that replied so far. I do have a question, though. How do I get my goals, starting weight and other stuff go show up on my signature? Do I have to manually enter it, or how does that work?

Good job! I am 5'10" and started this journey weighing the same as you. My goal is 152-157 lbs. That seems to be a healthy range for me. You have inspired me, and you look great in your bikini! Celebrate your success. You've earned it!!

What motivates me is "The Biggest Loser" television program. I find the contestants to be so inspirational. I need to adopt their general attitude of creating new habits and making a complete lifestyle change. The changing numbers on the scale also motivate me.

Way to go! What a great motivator to keep up the good work. :-)

I have started the program, but I did not complete it. I have wanted to start again, but needed a bit of motivation. I think I found it!! I will be starting week 1 day 1 tomorrow. I am not scheduled to participate in a 5K, but I want to, and it would be such an accomplishment for me to be able to run that long or that far.…

Welcome! I have been on the site for approximately a month, and although I had started losing weight before I joined, I have seen so much more progress since I've been here. I have lost a total of 17 pounds (I have to update my ticker!) and I have gone from being out of shape to having quite a bit of endurance (cardio…

I hope you're proud of yourself. That is quite an accomplishment. Keep up the good work. It's really about a lifestyle change, isn't it?!

You look fabulous! You truly are an inspiration. Keep up the good work. You're right. There is no "magic pill" or "secret formula" involved with weight loss. At the end of the day it all comes down to nutrition and fitness. :-) Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Nutrition Facts For Foods
