If I'm exercising then I can eat 1700-1750 gross each day and still lose :). Otherwise if I'm sedentary that's my maintenance amount! IN for people who like to eat!

That is such a great NSV! You really put your money where your mouth was and actually put the work in too - you're being a great role model for you daughter :)

I think you are actually my idol! I'm not saying that in the normal over the top way either. I love food. Seriously, I don't understand those "eat to live people". I'm all about living to eat! You just go to show that you can still eat and lose weight and look great. Keep it up! I hope you don't mind if I go and friend you…

Wow it seems like we're in the same place! I'm 5'1 and started at 179 and now I'm down ~36lbs too! You look great! I don't feel like I've made as much progress as you! Hopefully we can both make it to goal this year :D Keep up the great work it sounds like you're doing it the right way!

I usually enjoy everything I eat! Today's lunch was some really delicious homemade butternut squash soup. I also had two fried eggs on toast with runny yolks, so great! Yesterday's delicious treat was bread pudding.

A pound per week is really good! I lose a lot slower than that! Remember over a few months it will really add up :)

I don't understand your definition of clean. Couscous is delicious and I don't see how it is "unhealthy" or "unclean" or "bad". I'm just confused about what kind of answer you're looking for. I say eat it and if you feel sick afterwards or didn't enjoy it then don't buy it again.

For the first time in my life I've started wearing belts. I'll go get new jeans at thrift stores once mine get too baggy. Although I did buy a few new pairs of pants to treat myself, but unfortunately they're getting too baggy now too. It probably doesn't help that I like skinny jeans and they go from being tight (when I…

I do TDEE and ignore that button (I don't include my exercise calories). I tried adding in exercise calories but it got confusing. You can try it if you want to see if it works for you :)

On top of being your MFP friends I'll be your cycling friend. I love cycling - it's what started me on my fitness journey. The only thing is we got about 10cm of snow today so I can't cycle outside. I do the stationary bike at the gym though!

It's not the end of the world. Remember that you didn't get to your current weight because of overeating on one day - it took awhile for that to happen. It's the same thing with losing weight. It's the trend over a long period of time and not just one day. You should be proud of yourself for logging it (sometimes it can…

I try to weigh before cooking but if I forget then I'll just weigh afterwards and enter the "cooked" option on MFP.

Well I avoid coffee and cinnamon because they taste disgusting (IMO). I also avoid dairy because I'm lactose intolerant, and beef because it makes me sick. MSG gives me migraines so I avoid that too. "Bad foods" to me are ones that I find yucky - celery, tomatoes, raw onion, cucumber etc. I realize this probably isn't what…

You're such an inspiration! I'm breaking into the free weights section although I do cop out a bit and go at off hours when I know it'll be quiet and I can work out in peace.

Why are you eating so much chicken and broccoli if you don't want to? Are you having trouble hitting 2200 because you're in a "clean" mindset? I could hit that fairly easily - in chocolate alone! Try diversifying your diet.

I keep busy. I've also found my cravings/desire for high calorie snack foods is directly related to my stress level. The more stress I'm under, the more likely I am to reach for a snack. So I do things to relax me - have a cup of tea, read a book, stay away from my family :P. It's not always successful but I think overall…

I weigh most things (particularly more calorie dense things like cheese, meat, nuts etc). I generally have a pretty good idea of how much I'm eating since I've been weighing things for awhile now. I'm not obsessive though. I don't weigh out everything, like if I'm using a can of tomatoes I might just say I used half a can…

You can eat anything and lose weight - it's all about the quantity you eat. But something I eat all the time is teriyaki. I marinate chicken, pork, salmon, tofu or anything else in mirin, reduced sodium soy sauce and sugar and sauté it. So good! I also eat chocolate everyday. And soup - you can out basically anything you…

Dill flavoured popcorn seasoning is my favourite! Currently in Fredericton, NB but originally from just north of TO :)

Thanks for all the tips! It looks like I have a lot more research to do, but I'm really excited. I enjoy training on the bike and swimming so I was looking for something to motivate me to keep going (as in - something to work towards!).

Butter is an essential oil to me. Because it is delicious and makes me happy. Unfortunately I didn't have any butter in the house today and had to use my roommate's margarine and was very upset! Otherwise, essential oils aren't essential to weight loss.

Does this look evil?

About a week old, I took it on Boxing Day (Dec 26th) because I really liked my make-up!

7 had me dying. I can count on one hand the number of times I've bought pants that were the correct length. I always have to get them altered or roll them. Right now I just roll all my pants since I keep losing and I'm not having all the new pants I need to buy altered! Plus I was told it's in style so win-win?

I don't know if I should be offering to be a mentor or not since I've only been at this for 9 months now. However in those 9 months I've learnt a lot. A lot about myself, the things that caused me to gain weight, how to become a better more successful and driven person and more about health, fitness and nutrition. I'm…
