I just discovered BLE (a friend started it about a month ago and recommended it to me a few days ago). I'm a 10 on the food susceptibility scale, which I didn't think I would be. I thought I'd be more of an 8 or 9, high but not the highest! Do any of you log your foods on MFP? I created a journal and commit by sending a…

Good luck on 7 weeks in! Have you noticed any changes in your body since going vegan? What is your protein goal? If you're eating a varied whole foods diet then protein shouldn't be a concern. My daily goal is only 10-15% of calories from protein. I find beans to be a great source, and vegetables, nuts and seeds. I also…

I just came to post a discussion thread looking for fellow vegans and found this! Feel free to add me, I'm looking for more vegan friends (I find it saddening to look at the diaries of carnists and see all the animal products they have). I try to follow a whole foods plant based diet, with no added oil and low sugar and…

Good work. I just want to add that don't be upset if you don't see such large losses in the future. Depending on how much you have to lose a loss of 1lb/week could be considered fast. Losing too quickly isn't healthy. But keep at it :)

I live in residence with a mandatory meal plan to the cafe (which is all you can eat style). What has been working for me isn't crazy, I walk everyday for at least 30 minutes, do a basic bodyweight strength routine in my room (crunches, pushups, squats etc) and I limit snacking and treats to Friday and special occasions…

Good luck. Remember, small changes you can maintain will have the biggest long term results!

I'm glad you're having success so far. Small daily changes that you can keep up are the key to success. Enjoy your tea, I'm a tea enthusiast myself :)

Do something to get your mind off of it. I find that I usually have cravings at around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. That's when I go take my daily walk. It helps me twofold; I avoid the temptation and I get moving!

Delicious!

No.

5'1 and I eat 1600 a day to lose 0.5lbs/week

I'm the same. I also used Cook to get me started. I have used endomundo but the GPS wasn't working properly on my phone. Unless you are severely obese, it's not healthy to expect to lose 20 pounds in a month. Try making small changes that will lead to real lasting results over time. Find a realistic calorie goal (look into…

My kind of person! I eat all types, I have a yummy focaccia right now. Typically I go for a Bavarian re bread with poppyseeds. It's really good toasted (with butter of course).

Don't worry, this is normal. I've gone up cup sizes but down band sizes. When my bras don't fit anymore I make sure to get measures at the store before buying anything!

What are you trying to achieve. If you're trying to lose weight then you need to eat a deficit. It's great that you're working out and lifting - that will improve your health and fitness! But to lose weight you need to eat less calories than you burn.

Unless you're going to a buffet on a fairly regular basis then I say enjoy yourself and try to exercise some moderation. Don't eat until the point of making yourself sick or feeling like you're going to explode.

Make today the first of a long trend! Success comes from consistency!

Breyer's is my grandparents' favourite. I like Haagen-Dazs. Although I don't really eat ice cream since I'm lactose intolerant. If you can get Cows then that's the best. I think Scotsburn is only on the East Coast. I had it when I was living in NB, but I haven't seen it in the GTA.

What's with Americans and eliminating all necessary Us? Also, stubble is where it's at!

I just eat extra and try to stay at or under maintenance. To be honest this past month I exceeded my maintenance calories for a few days but in the long run I'll be fine.

I'm in a similar boat to you. I'm just under 10lbs away from finally being in the "healthy" BMI weight range. I also just started running. I'm down 37 pounds so far in the past 19 months. I'd like to get back in to lifting :)

Definitely! I love Indian. Bubble and squeak?

I don't think there's a bad way to eat an egg - although I don't really like cooked yolks. Poached is my current favourite way of eating them. An egg, cooked with a runny yolk on toast is maybe the best breakfast there is!

I really enjoyed reading this post! Thank you for sharing your "silly NSV". I'm glad you've found a way to eat a food you love. All of the ways you mentioned cooking it sound delicious! I think next you'll need to post spaghetti recipes :) Cute pictures too!

It hasn't happened yet for me either.

Day one: I had half of a mini Black Forest buttercream cake I got from the farmers market. Amazing! Day two: the other half of the cake with half of a serving of chocolate peanut butter ice cream from the local ice cream shop! Day three: mini eggs and some sweetened condensed milk in tea (the perfect pick me up!) I know…

Yay I like this cleanse so much more than the last one! Day one: I had half of a mini Black Forest buttercream cake I got from the farmers market. So good! Day two: the other half of the cake with half a serving of chocolate peanut butter ice cream from the local ice cream shop!

Motivation will fade. You need to form healthy habits. "Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going." That being said, you need to find a way/reason to motivate yourself. Remember why you wanted to get healthier/fitter to begin with :)

As already mentioned - everything! I don't think there's been an aspect of my life that hasn't been improved by becoming a healthier version of myself. If I had to chose my favourite change I think it would be my mentality towards life. I'm a lot happier, positive and confident because of all the changes I've made. It's…
