Has anyone ever tried the detox waters? I was wondering if they really work? If so which are the best to try?

Nope, they don't.0

No, they don't.0

They might come with a mild diuretic, which makes you have to pee a lot, but drinking lots of water will have the same effect.
What is it that you want these to detox from your body? Without that information, how would we be able to gauge whether or not they work?0 -
This one does.

Not significantly more than regular water. They're just diuretics.0

In all fairness, for me it helps when my stomach is bloated. I put cucumber and lemon in my water every day and drink it all day. I've compared days without these additions and I notice the difference.0

Okay, but that has nothing to do with detoxing. Bloating isn't an indication that you need to detoxify your body.0 -

Well its considered a "detox water" so thought I'd share my opinions with OP.

When someone asks me "Does this work?" I tend to think they are asking me "Does this work for what it is sold to do?", not a completely different problem that they may or may not have.
By your logic, "detox water" works because it will quench thirst. It also works because it will water a plant or put out a small fire.0 -
Yes, they work to sell stuff. They cleanse your wallet.0

OP, it will cost less than $2 to buy a cucumber and lemon. Try it and see if you notice a different in regards to BLOATING. I'm not saying it will detox your body! Doesn't hurt to try, if you don't notice anything different, then move on.0

Cucumber will indeed help with bloating (think puffy eyes), and is tasty and delicious. I often stick cucumber or lemon slices in my water jug (haven't tried both together), though I do it because I like the flavour it gives, which in itself can help some people to drink more water if they don't like it plain (not a problem I have, I just like to mix it up occasionally).
But as for 'detoxes'? Nope, pure snake oil. You kidneys and liver take care of that for you, and all they ask in return is a nice home inside your body0 -

It is also helpful in keeping boats afloat.
Man. Water is so multi-purpose! Who knew?

Peeps also hate toxins, so . . . detox water is real?
I can't follow all this science.

There is nothing that you can eat or drink that will "detoxify" your body. Unless, of course, you OD and have to drink activated charcoal.0 -
They definitely do! They work to make money for the person you buy it from, for the person who drove it to the person you bought it from, for the websites that sell them online, and for the manufacturers/bottlers.

Nope but some of the infused waters are pretty tasty so if they help you drink more water that's a plus. I'm talking like the ones with fresh fruit, cucumbers, mint, basil, etc.. Not the packaged expensive magic detox waters.0

I thought the slices on the eyes worked because it's essentially a cool compress?
I think the infused water is nice because it makes the water more pleasurable to drink, ergo, you sip it consistently all day, rather than choking down 8 glasses like it's medicine.

Complete crap unless something is wrong with your kidneys or liver.0

I hear that Ponce de Leon found some excellent detox waters alongside the Fountain of Youth.0
