  • I wouldn't want to water fast (or any sort of fast) for one day, let alone five! Please OP, listen to the good advice other posters have given you. 10lbs/week is not realistic nor healthy. Try for 1-2lbs/week that will stay off [if you do it the right way and establish healthy habits].
  • Sounds pretty good to me. I personally love biking as my cardio. It's the first exercise I started doing when I first began trying to lose weight and it's the one I've gone back to time and time again. As long as you're getting exercise in consistently, it's not a bad thing at all :).
  • That's almost exactly what I have for breakfast every morning. I also have a few slices of turkey bacon.
  • I could get philosophical and ask how you define someone who is more successful but I won't. I think it's beneficial to listen to advice/gather information from a variety of sources. Each will have their pros and cons, and their own strengths and weaknesses. It's my job to decide which pieces of advice I think are best and…
  • What's the point of this post? That there is misrepresentation of calorie amounts? I think that's pretty widely known. Or maybe not. No harm in sharing I suppose. Even if you're using Splenda in your coffee or something, the calories are kind of negligible (at least in my opinion ~5 calories in a tsp isn't going to…
  • See this is where the idea of "bad food" is subjective; I happen to like pickles and cauliflower. Whereas to me bad food would be anything containing cinnamon!
  • Yea that quote completely disregards the LGBTQA community and their desires and attractions. Not to mention that is demeaning to women to assume men are only interested in "a natural frontal opening" (and "natural" being what? Guess there's some transphobia in this post as well). Hopefully men are more complex and have…
  • This actually made me LOL at my computer screen. This is what I like to think.
  • What is "bad" food? Something that tastes bad? If it tastes bad then I'm more likely to never eat it again rather than make it easier. I log everything. If I'm not keeping an accurate food diary then what's the point of doing it at all?
  • Essential questions. And seriously what is veggie bacon? OP of course your weight went up. It's water weight. Your weight fluctuates several pounds throughout the course of the day. Keep in mind that a pound of fat is approximately 3500 calories. You'd have to eat 3500 OVER MAINTENANCE in order to gain a pound of fat. I…

  • Can someone tell me what bulletproof coffee is? Is it like foolproof or something? Or it makes you bulletproof? I'm not watching some two and a half hour video on this, especially when the first thing I see is Joe Rogan or whatever his name is.
  • If you have success it's going to be because of the "diet" and exercise changes and not whatever it was you just bought.
  • I think you might be doing it wrong? Just because you're "dieting" doesn't mean you have to eat salad. It also doesn't mean you can't eat delicious foods like bread and cheese either. Watch your portion size and log it and you can eat pretty much whatever you want, just maybe not in the quantity you'd like.
  • Yes! I love cookie dough but turning it into a chocolate is just genius! I'm guessing you're not Canadian otherwise you would've had poutine before. Isn't it amazing. What isn't there to love about fries, cheese and gravy <3
  • GOld Canada GOld! Just wanted to bump this now that we've won. And I'd say the country stopped functioning all day as everyone went and had a nap after that early start!
  • I've never heard of this before but it's a scam. I hope you at least enjoyed a relaxing bath?
  • I eat chocolate everyday and I've been fine :). It makes me happy and that's important throughout this process too.
  • *Knocks on wood* DON'T JINX IT!
  • Is there a reason you cut it out completely? If you have a problem controlling your intake then I understand (I had to cut out chips completely for this reason - it was the one food I couldn't portion control). Otherwise I'd say try and fit one into your calories if you're under one day. If it's something you really enjoy…
  • I was going to comment on the same thing. Not sure how this turned into food porn but I thought I'd add a few images of my own :D
  • Hi Curly, I'm Elizabeth and I'm 22, I have probably about 25-30 left to lose but I'm really not sure right now. I'm taking it slow and we'll see where I end up. This is about the journey to being healthier and not about the number on the scale :D. Feel free to add me if you'd like. (I also like PMing my pals!) I'm always…
  • Sometimes people say things without thinking (or don't think about how what they're saying might be interpreted by someone else). Use it as motivation and you'll be the last one laughing :)
  • Like others are suggesting I'd buy a digit food scale. They don't have to be expensive and are the only way to guarantee some sort of accuracy (logging is just an educated guess afterall). Until you're able to get a scale I'd try using measuring cups but it really won't be the same.
  • I want to eat everything on this page. That cookie dough brownie though. I NEED IT!
  • I can't say what'll happen to you but I've lost a cup size so far and I didn't have much to lose in that area to begin with! What other choice do you have though? Stay heavy with a bigger chest or lose the weight and be healthier?
  • I have similar thoughts... I love this gif :D
  • I have a "boy" body. Meh, what are you gunna do about it? Might as well save myself the grief and accept myself for what I am (I realize this is easier said than done for some people but that's how I choose to look at things).
  • While exercise is great for your health and fitness, it's not required for weight loss. You could find a calorie goal that would allow you to loss weight at your current activity level. Either you can try to get up early to go to the gym or find another way to fit exercise into your schedule. Is there really no way for you…
  • That's awesome! Congrats on your success so far and more importantly congrats on getting to a healthy mental space :). I tangible you saved yourself a lot of suffering and disappointment :). I'm not a huge fan of cupcakes but I did have a delicious cookie today :D and I'll probably have some chocolate for dessert!
  • Wow that's great! I'm impressed :)
