Thanks for the advice, everyone! The stretches and exercices are helping a lot. I'm also foam rolling a bit, but not directly on the IT band. Tough part is, I have to wait more than I'd like to and constantly tell myself not to go for a run before it's recovered :D :#

In the beginning, when I went vegan, I'd still eat honey, because I didn't see anything wrong with it. My great grandpa was a beekeeper and I'd feel nostalgic every time I had a big, delicious spoon of honey. Then I did some research and found out that honey bees are one of the main causes for wild bees dying off at such a…

GENDER - Female CURRENT WEIGHT - 134lbs GOAL WEIGHT - 125lbs WORKOUT FREQUENCY - I do 4 runs a week (not for weight loss, I just enjoy it) plus 1-2 days a week strenght training plus biking, swimming and hiking when I feel like it DIET - Calories in vs. calories out. I'm a vegan, but that's not really related to my…

Don't get discouraged! Maybe you'd feel more comfortable once you're out on the street, not in that bike shop, which I'm guessing was narrow and small. It takes some time, but I'm sure you'll adjust to it.

Well done on the 10k! :) It's great that you're thinking of cross training, do whatever you enjoy! Incorporate interval training, tempo runs or maybe negative splits, all of these will impove your speed. + one long, easy run a week and you'll get ready for that 21k in no time! It's up to you wheter you want to improve your…

Make sure you're in a caloric deficit. You can't target a specific area, you just have to be patient and meticulous with your intake and the fat will come off. Exercise is for building muscles, strenght, endurance and health. It can make you look better, but if you're not eating in a deficit, you won't lose any fat.

I was vegetarian for about 5 years because I didn't want animals to suffer, but I was one of the many people who said things like "veganism is just too extreme", "I just love cheese" and "I could never go vegan". Then I watched some footage from dairy farms... boy chicks being ground up alive the day they are born, cows…

You are absolutely right about the mental aspect of weight loss. The binge/restrict cycle is a tough battle to fight, I'm recovering from BED and I haven't had a binge since February. Sadly, tracking calories and being overobsessive is what got me into this mess. I don't know your story and what's causing your binges, but…

Great analogy!! For me, it was overrestricting and obsessing over tracking everything correctly. That got me to a binge eating disorder, which took me two years to tackle. Now I'm back to tracking, but I'm also trying to be kinder to myself and not miss out on life because of counting calories - I eat whatever I want, I…

A pretty solid "whoosh" for me this week, I was retaining some water because of all the salty deliciousness I consumed on a trip! And I'm just 100g away from reaching the 50s (in kg), which has always been nirvana territory for me :D

If they don't treat all human beings with respect; if they're cruel to animals; aaaand flat earthers :D

There are two different approaches to this, I believe: 1. You can stop eating unlabelled food, but that's a bit extreme and can lead to an unhealthy relationship with food. Some people choose to do that though, in order to be 100% sure of their intake. 2. You can try to guesstimate. If you can see the weight of the whole…

I'm in! I added myself to the spreadsheet, sorry for being a bit late! This will hopefully be the last stretch for me, I have 14 pounds to lose until I reach my goal weight! c:

Adding olives gives rice a lot of flavour! I also love it with cumin!

You CAN restrict your calories while traveling. The question is - should you...I would just enjoy myself and try everything I want to try while still being sensible. Trust me, we Europeans know our food, you'll regret it if you don't let yourself indulge a little bit. Especially if it's only a week or two, don't worry…

I think it just depends on whether you're a morning person or not - I have tons of energy in the morning and very little in the afternoon/evening. I love running in the morning bc it's not too hot, there aren't a lot of people and I feel great for the rest of the day.

* Go back to your normal calorie intake the day after you binge (I would not eat ANYTHING they day after. Not a good idea.) Seriously. This is the best advice I could give, don't try to "fix" it. * If you're in a deficit, maybe go to your maintenance calories for a couple of months. When you decide to cut back on calories,…

I frickin' love bread and I still eat it quite often, but I'd recommend trying out rice cakes. I usually put some ricotta cheese/avocado + spices on top! YUM!
