Served it with the left over salsa and chips too. My husband loved it! He didn't believe that I just whipped it together. LoL.

1. What should i do to prepare I don't run the day before. I make sure I stretch the day before and eat healthy foods, nothing greasy or junk. But keep running this week as you normally are. 2. What types of foods should i eat the night before Don't eat anything that you feel will weigh you down or some unfamiliar food.…

That was me yesterday! Went camping for 5 days eating crud food the entire time and lots of beers, plus no running for a week! Yesterday, I really didn't want to run, because I knew it would be bad, but pushed myself and pushed through the run and it was actually good. You just need to get back into the swing of things. It…

My friend lives in Bradenton! I'm about 5 miles from Disney and hear/see the fireworks every night. I still work out outside, but try to do it in the early morning or later in the evening. Sometimes, I will run in the middle of the day and it is HOT, but it makes my runs in the morning and races so much more easy! Anyone…

Experimented last night and made Avocado Chicken Pasta, was great! -Whole wheat pasta -shredded chicken breast (I usually do it crock pot style with cumin and some hot peppers for flavor, but only use the chicken, not the peppers in the actual dish) -Cup of guacamole -1/3 minced fresh onion -1 minced jalapeno (or more)…

Run outside, its way more fun! I always think people are watching me too, but not when I'm actually running. If I need to take a short walking break -breather- that's when I think people are like, "why is she stopping?" LOL! So, people watching me actually helps to motivate me and keep on pushing.

Do you have to eat the entire thing at once or what's the best way to store it and how long should it last? I eat them a lot at cafe's but never bought one! LoL. Usually have them with grilled chicken. I wonder how good it would be if you stuffed it inside a jalapeno and then smoked it?

I used to live in Milwaukee and looked forward to going to Wis State Fair just for the food! 2 words: cream puffs

Sometimes frozen foods are cheaper than fresh, just make sure to buy whole frozen foods, such as frozen veggies, no sauce. I agree with the Aldi's comment. I was so excited when they finally came to FL. I can buy the big bag of frozen chicken breasts for around $5. and they are HUGE! Usually, between my husband and I, I…

Went camping for 5 days and it resulted in a 1lb weight gain for this week. Not great, but not horrible too, I'll just work my butt off this week to lose that pound and some more! There was a LOT of meat and not so many veggies, but when those veggies did come around, I piled my plate up. Can honestly say I am…

I would use whatever scale is easier and more convenient for you to use and stick to it. I was using the scale at Publix every Friday because I like it better than my scale at home, but we haven't been biking to Publix as much and have been opting for Subway, so I switch to my one at home. There was a slight difference,…

I'm FROM Milwaukee, don't live there now though. But, Good Luck!

Thanks for all the tips! Yes, I love kabobs and that would be a great idea to do. I think it would even be easier than the hot dogs, because with hot dogs you needs buns, condiments, side dish... but a kabob has everything self contained. Also, I've seen a lot of recipes for the foil packets and I know reynolds wrap has an…

I like to "spice up" everything, especially since I heard eating spicy peppers boosts your metabolism. Last night I made a flat bread for dinner with what I had in the garden, so it had carmelized onions, 2 big banana peppers and jalapenos. Then a little bit of feta and fresh basil. Was delish! and nice and spicy!

Down to 146! Yay! I think it was quite a large loss because I cut out alcohol completely, which also help to remove unhealthy late snacks. I was also training for my 5K, which I did Sunday. I don't have my official time, but I do know I finished 18th for all the women and 6th in my age division. My time was about 31:15,…

I agree with Sandyfeet. The class is way more fun and you get more into it because the instructor and other "zumba-ers" will push you on. I also love my once a week zumba class because it gets me out of the house and doing something with other people. I own my own consulting company and work from home, so I always look…

I wouldn't purchase the meal plan, its a waste money, especially with kids, unless you eat 10 lbs of food in a sitting. Bring a cooler into the park. It's totally legal and ok with their rules. A lot of people do that and pack sandwiches, otherwise its about $10/person/meal for like a hamburger. You can get fast passes,…

My husband run with our black lab mix, but I can't. Not quick enough. When I try the dog barely trots, then looks back at me, like, "umm, hello? Let's go!" Lmao!

The initial weight loss could be water weight or just a shock to your body of doing something different. Depending on what kind of work outs your doing, you may be gaining muscle mass while your toning. As a lot of people say, take your measurements too and don't only rely on the scale. Good LUCK!
-
No, you will not get thicker because you are building up ab muscle. I do pilates, its the crunch video, so its only 10 minutes a day, but it kills the next day and I can notice a difference in tone, even though there's still some chub on top.

I'm doing a 5K race here in Orlando, starts at 8am, so should be a nice "cool" 80 degrees by then. Yuck! :drinker:

I love Mexican food and my favorite show on Food Network is Mexican Made Easy. I always browse her recipes when looking to make something. She does a dessert every show, so there's lots of ideas besides the normal flan and tres leches. http://www.foodnetwork.com/mexican-made-easy/index.html

Also just got an idea from reading all of your posts, how about stuffing them with mashed potatos, then just a little cheese, wrapping with turkey bacon and smoking them that way! That way there's a filler, but its not cream cheese. I've also stuffed them with a breading mixture containing diced jalapenos, cajun chicken…

I keep mine in the full sun and make sure the pot they are in has drain holes so they don't drown, although they do love water, so don't underwater them. I also live in Orlando, so, my plant is more of a bush now with a thick woody stem, about 3-4 feet tall. I staked it to make sure it grew straight. I've had it for about…

really? peanut butter, never heard or tried that before, but now I'm curious....

You will get dirty! This was my first foot race of any kind and I loved it. Everyone that runs the race has such a great attitude even if you don't know them. Most of our race, being from Orlando with a high water table, was throw this slimy mud, which made it impossible to get your footing, I feel several times and there…

That's great! It always is a good way to start your day when your clothes feel looser!

I wanna join! I failed at my last challenge after only a week :embarassed: Not this time! I've sent my friend request.

I also found on the treadmill it was easier to quit. I could just stop it and step off, if you stop while running, it will take you longer to get home while walking. I purposely map out my run so its one big lap, that way I can't just give up. Also, and this sounds corny, I like to think that everyone is watching me. So,…

Wow! That's amazing! I took up running a few months ago and am doing my 3rd 5K this Sunday. I'm pretty excited because its through an outdoor shopping plaza and I figured it would be some good scenery, like window speed shopping. LoL! My last time was around 34 mins, so I'm looking to beat that this time and to keep…
