Hi, how did you get on OP? Intrigued to know what happened over Xmas. I am in the same position, I've been fighting the last 7lbs for over a year, I keep gaining and losing but can't get to goal. I put a few pounds on over Xmas so now I need to lose 7lbs instead of 2lbs and it's just not shifting. Wondering if you've…

I'm thinking about joining tomorrow as I'm so fed up of counting the calories on every single thing I eat and my weight has been static for weeks, it's so disheartening. I'm sick of feeling hungry and not losing weight so I thought I'd try slimming world but can it be true that I'll lose weight by eating as much of the…

Oh and it tells me how many calories I've burned during a walk but also how many calories in total I've burned during the day. I think it uses heart rate and your weight and height to calculate it.

I've had one for 4 days now and I love it. I don't switch it to exercise mode I haven't figured that out yet. I just wear it. It knows when I've been for an actual walk and logs it as active minutes rather than just random steps around the house. It automatically calculates calories burned but I've heard it over estimates…

Thanks for that kinder reply, I was having the same issue so read this post with interest but most of the earlier replies are quite curt.

Great thread just what I needed. I made paneer cheese yesterday, it's high in protein, lower fat content than cheddar, keeps its shape like halloumi when you heat it, it's lovely in spinach curry but I also think it would make great kebabs with other veggies threaded on a skewer. 1.5 litres whole milk 4 tablespoons lemon…

Oh, and what was your calorific goal while you were losing? Did you focus on your macros?

Gorgeous, thanks for sharing! I'm 5ft 6.5 and started at 176lbs, I went down to 139lbs 2 years ago but am now back up to 156lbs so I'm back on MFP looking for inspiration to get my *kitten* in gear and you have totally inspired me! Same height, same starting weight, same goal weight. You look amazing, I hope I look like…

YouTube Pilates videos. I like Pop Pilates, she's called Cassy something and she's great. Free!

Wow I can't believe you're the same weight! How tall are you and what do you weigh, just out of interest? V inspiring. I started lifting but I got bored and stopped but this has inspired me to start again, thank u

Bump, I'm interested in that too x

Don't eat any less, that's a viscous trap and you will hungry, cranky and ultimately fail in your goals. Joint the eat more to weigh less group on here it's full of great advice.

Thanks everyone that has all really helped. I still ate too much today but then I went out on bike, looked at my fat photos and my clothes that are too small and I think tomorrow will be the start again. Thank youuuu

Thank you, I've read that thread a lot over the past year or so and it's very educational but I guess that's not my issue, I know what I should be doing, I just don't seem to have any will power to follow it and I don't know why or how to get my will power back. Just venting my frustration I guess there's not really an…

I'm no expert but I've noticed weight loss isn't linear and 2 weeks isn't long, personally I would keep doing what you're doing for another 2 weeks then if you still haven't lost then rethink, but it bet you will lose. Also the last few pounds comes off slower, you might have lost half a pound and the scales just aren't…

I heard it messes with your insulin/ blood sugars or something, I can't remember the details so take this with a pinch of aspartame, but your body thinks something sweet has landed so produces insulin but then there is no sugar so your body gets all out of whack and it results in weight gain. No idea if that's true. Feel…

Thanks, I did feel better the other day when I had 50% of my calories from fats! (Nuts and olives). Seems excessive but if it works who am I to complain. Your dog looks so cute!

Thanks for this, I only work out with weights 2 or 3 times a week then I either cycle or swim once a week so I get lots of rest days. I sleep REALLY well. Work is stressful but it always is so that hasn't really changed. My fat macro is set at 53g (32%) of my diet. I weigh 144lbs so that should be plenty of healthy fat,…

I think this could well be the case yet ironically I am eating so much more healthily, no junk, no alcohol etc. ha! Now I know where I'm going wrong! I need crisps, chocolate and a bottle of wine lol!

Aha! I feel some googling coming on! Thank you!
-
Oh, maybe it's not just me then! Wonder why that happens...

I'm 42 so could def be hormones but it's only really a problem when I'm losing weight, not if I'm maintaining (or gaining lol!). Not on any meds at all. Maybe it's just me, maybe my body's way of complaining about giving up its cosy fat stores!

But it's easier to over eat with sugary things. I could easily eat 500 calories of chocolate, but struggle to eat 500 calories of lentils.
-
Thank you that's great! I've never had tofu (other than in miso soup sachets) so I have never cooked with it, I clearly have some experimenting to do! Thank you

Sometimes posts get dropped down the list by other people posting at similar times, have you tried just entering another comment (like bump) to bring the topic back up to the top?
