  • I've been using Pahla Bowers channel for about a year now and love her videos (and her attitude -https://www.youtube.com/user/PahlaB1/featured) - she has playlists for level (seated workouts too), length, equipment, etc.

  • 47lbs (March 2017-December 2017)... still have over 100lbs to go, but I'm committed to the whole slow and steady idea.
  • Feel free to add me! I have about 150 pounds to lose - I started at 420 a very long time and lost well over 150 pounds, but then got married and gained quite a bit back, lost some, then got pregnant, etc. I started again here this March at 310 and I'm down to 285, but still have a way to go.
  • I haven't read past your initial post, but I wanted to share because your story is very similar to mine. (Losing a lot of weight, then gaining it back after you get into a relationship - and also wanting to get pregnant) I've always had irregular periods and was always told it was because of my weight. When I went on birth…

  • Mashed cauliflower - this is the recipe I use http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/george-stella/mock-garlic-mashed-potatoes-recipe/index.html. I use 2 tablespoons of light cream cheese and sprinkle butter instead though
  • I limit myself to about 110g of carbs a day - I have Total for breakfast w/ almond milk (or egg beaters on the weekend), and usually either tuna salad or fish salad with wasa crackers for lunch, and then for dinner I usually have mashed cauliflower, green beans and chicken (or fish and brown rice). For a snack, I usually…
  • I'll have to try this. Thanks for posting!
  • I found a recipe on foodnetwork.come for this (I tweaked it a bit so it didn't have so much fat) and it turned out SO good. Even my husband agrees that it's delicious and he's a food snob lol. I've been missing my mashed potatoes and this is an awesome substitute.
  • Every day is a new day - silly, obvious statement, but so true when trying to eat better. Just because you "cheated" one day, doesn't mean that tomorrow isn't going to matter - in fact, it doesn't mean the rest of THAT day isn't going to matter. You CAN do this. No matter what your story, how heavy you are, what your goal…
  • I've always found that filling out my food diary at the start of the day helped me. That way, I already know if I have any "extra" calories/fat/carbs, etc left for a treat or a snack if I get too hungry.
  • I'm almost 27 and I still don't have my license - I'm lucky that my husband likes being my chauffeur lol Seriously though - I got my permit when I was 17, took driver's ed, and did great but the actually getting behind the wheel of a car terrifies me to this day. I always explain it as "It's not the fear of driving that…
  • That's what I track too.
  • I agree with what someone mentioned about drinking water. I always make sure to drink a full glass of water with every meal - it helps me not feel "hungry" right after I eat. But, with only eating 1200 calories a day (I'm doing this too), you're probably going to feel hungry.. I just try not to look at it as a bad thing.

  • Sure, I added you! :) I've always been asked by my family (pretty much everyone in my family is overweight) what my "secret" was - it's funny, whenever I told them there wasn't really a "secret" they were disappointed, like I wouldn't share with them. I think the main thing is motivation - like I told my dad, even if you…
