Just took a looksie through your last couple of days... Looks like the bulk of your calories are coming from your coffee drinks. Maybe switch to skim milk and try a non-calorie sweetener? It may taste a bit off at first, but try it for a little while and see if you can enjoy it as much. That would free up a ton of calories…

I gained 30lbs after quitting smoking. My doctor was HAPPY! Seriously! It's better to be a fat non-smoker than a fit smoker. As far as how much you eat, start logging it. Weigh your food, log it and get a true idea of how much you are eating, then work on cutting that down to fit into a calorie goal that will help you lose…

You can make room in your day for a bit of chocolate every evening if you want. As far as the greasy cheeseburger, assuming it's with fries, you may have to plan a few days in advance for that. Just save up 100-200/day for a few days, then have at it :) When you want something that's more calorific than usual, eat lighter…

Did you make it? I so hope you did!

That makes sense!

Do not do it. Not one. I had quit for 6 months and felt great. Started craving one. I waited and still craved, then gave in and got one from a neighbor. Now I'm again smoking a pack a day and trying to quit after the failed attempts and four years.

Thank you. I'd never seen the update.

You can't spot reduce fat. A moderate deficit is what's needed to lose fat but we can't pick where it comes from.

I avoid dairy before bed and know to take a Nexium if I eat tomato based foods for dinner.
-
This is a recipe for disaster. Your body burns more than 1200 calories without you having to do much more than get out of bed. You are seting yourself up to pass out or worse.

I eat the same stuff as before, just reorganized. I eat less of the fattening stuff, more of the less fattening stuff.

Something to consider regarding the BMI scale: [excerpt] Rather, the studies generally suggest that people with a BMI of 25 to 29.9 -- which is considered overweight but not obese -- have a survival advantage over people with higher or lower BMIs. [excerpt] In the newly published study, researchers used data from an…

You can lose all your weight without exercising, if that's your choice. Yes, though, exercising is better for your health and will also help you maintain lean muscle mass (along with getting enough protein). My SW was originally 229 and I lost my first 50lbs without any measurable exercise. I did use some dumb bells and…

All liquid counts, including the water content of food.

Visit your doctor, but until you can get there, try to get up more slowly. Sit up for a moment, then ease up to stand.
-
Pay most attention to your diet. Weight is lost in the kitchen, not the gym.

I just had an ice cream sandwich. Fats, carbs, protein, calcium and vitamin A. Perfect :) A lot of nights I have an ambrosia apple. Really sweet and I add peanut butter if I have enough calories.

For now, I'm just getting started and only go a couple miles at a time. I think my butt's adjusting. The last two rides didn't leave me sore, so I can start adding a little more distance as my legs adjust to the workout. :) Thanks everyone!!!

Pictures. I hate pictures. I allow them because I remind myself that my son just wants pictures of his mom.. but I HATE them.

There is nothing "horrible" about artificial sweetners. I've lost all my weight (both times, 50lbs last time) drinking pretty much all Dt Dr Pepper. The water in that still counts towards my water intake, as does the water in any other beverage and food.…

We'll get there!!! Let us know when you hit it!

I tried this before I found MFP. I ended up putting more on my plate for first serving, "just in case" I would still be hungry. I much prefer just counting calories and eating what fits.

I have a 13 yr old son and want to be around for him and able to do the activities he enjoys. You've got this!

I love Dave's Killer Bread. I get the thin slices.

I'm going to be CRAZY when I get to that milestone!! Way to go!!! Let us know when you hit it! Maybe it'll be birthday morning  You could throw in some ACV, just in case lol

Are you under doctor's orders to go low protein?
-
I save some of my calories for a late snack and there's nothing wrong with a couple of cookies. A whole sleeve, not good but a couple is fine if it fits in your calories.
-
Instead of trying all these unsustainable diets, what is your reasoning for not just using MFP as it's created? Enter stats, set goals, log food, eat what you enjoy?
-
Ahh, but you have a bit more insight to me, I think. You've seen me all over the message boards lol
