  • There really isn't any such thing. I mean, most people are pretty happy with being around 15% body fat which is (relatively) not too hard to maintain. But some people want to get 8% body fat, very difficult to maintain. I guess the answer is, you'll finish losing inches when you reach 8% body fat. Whether you want to have…
  • It happens to me when I eat too little.
  • Yep I weight daily as well. I don't get demotivated doing so. Obviously. Having lost 111 pounds so far :P
  • Protein powder lasts a long time. A 5 pound tub ($45.00) lasts me a bit over a month. That's with 1-2 scoops a day (approx. 60g of protein). It works out to about $1 a day for 60g of protein. That said, the best way to get protein is milk and chicken / steak / etc. You don't seem to be eating those based off your post…
  • Trippy. I lost nothing in my feet lol. I'm still a double wide, size 13 feet after 100+ pounds lost. I know, giant feet!
  • I just cook a week's worth of chicken, store in the fridge. Wrap bread, sandwich toppings in individual bags. Then before I head to work, I grab a banana, apple, orange, the chicken breast, the toppings/bread, and run out. Takes 30 mins of prep on the weekend and 30 seconds in the mornings.
  • I have pretty epic cheat days, 5,000 calories easily if not more. However, these happen once every 3 months, not weekly. Most of that is relatively healthy foods, however. I am fortunate enough that I don't get regular sweets cravings. I get them maybe once a month, and usually ignore it for a hour and it goes away. It's…
  • As a general rule, you can't. It's more complicated than that, however. On my 100 pound (and counting) calorie deficit, my bench press has gone from 135 to 195 (12 reps, 2 sets). I've gotten stronger, and my muscles really POP out now. Comparing a flexing photo of me at 400 pounds and now at 288, it's obvious my arms…
  • I've lost over 100 pounds and I still get people saying "You look different.. did you get a haircut??" LOL. I'm not offended. Part of it is that I was so fat that I looked... fat. Now, my body shape is still "fat", but I'm just... a smaller fat. I figure people will start noticing when my body shape starts changing (i.e.…
  • During the time you did not work out during the week, were you working? For example, I am a construction worker. I probably burn 1,000 calories a day, if not more, from work alone. 8-12 hours a day. If I suddenly went from that, to not having a job and staying at home, I would probably gain a lot of weight even if I…
  • To be honest, when I first started out, I had a hard time eating veggies whole and without dressing. I mean do you know how AWFUL they taste?! Well, that was at one point anyway. After years of eating Taco Bell, Subway, Quiznos, Pizza, you name it... my sense of taste was rather distorted. I liked vegetables.... as long as…
  • I avoid "diet" foods and "low fat" foods like the plague. An easy way to eat clean, healthy foods is to do all your shopping at a Farmer's Market. Hard to go wrong there. I do all of my shopping there. You won't find these crazy chemical laden "diet" foods there, and it's all healthy and cheap.
  • I buy every 4 sizes. I started at 54, bought new pants at 48, 44, and now 40. They have all been new clothes for work, because I need to look good for work. However, I started at 4XL and only just now bought new shirts and shorts for casual wear (XL and 40). I plan to buy new work pants at 36 and 32 (my company supplies…
