I've lost 116lbs and am close to my goal weight. I do have a little loose skin and stretch marks but it isn't too bad. I'd much prefer the skin over the 115 extra pounds! Good luck to you!

Accurately weigh, measure and track - everything! If you go over your calories for a meal or day, quickly correct. Don't let it turn into a bad weekend, bad week, etc. learn how to quickly move on! Good luck

Yes! I lost my first 80lbs without exercise. I just accurately weighted and measured my food and stayed within my calorie allowance everyday.

Yes, this is exactly what I do! I love the people that attend my WW meeting so I don't want to give that up. However, I really like counting calories rather than points. I've been doing this for about 2 years and am very happy with how I've combined the two! Best of luck to you!

I always allow myself one light beer (provided it doesn't put me over my calorie limit). Anything above that in a day.... I run an extra mile per beer consumed! That pretty much keeps me at just one beer :-)

Yes, I lost 80lbs without exercising. That being said I now exercise routinely as there are so many benefits to being fit!

Way to go!! People didn't say anything to me until around 30 pounds....

Weigh, measure, log everything.

Running is very individualized. Run your first 5k - so the next time you run one, a 'good time' will be to beat your previous time and so on….. I've run several, starting at 49 minutes and getting down to 30 minutes. A lot of people would say 30 minutes isn't 'good'… but I think it is GREAT as it is a personal improvement.…

It's not up to us to try to figure out or give advice to others on how they should spend their own money. To each their own.

I had a lot of clothes in various sizes so I bought very little as far as transition clothes. I also just wore the same few things for awhile. Preferred to save my money for my ultimate size 6/8 clothes :-)

You look great! Awesome job!!!

Since I've lost weight and now exercise 6 days/week, I have not been sick in the last year even once. This is coming from someone who used to get two sinus infections a year!
-
I only have a beer if I have worked out that day to EARN it!

How do you get it done?! Here is what I believe works: 1. Accurately track, measure/weigh and log everything you eat and drink - and I emphasize the accurate and the everything…. 2. Stick to your calorie goal to ensure a calorie deficit 3. Exercise routinely (5-6 days a week works for me) to feel MUCH better and assist…

Tough but Rewarding!

You've gotten a lot of good advice regarding meticulous tracking of what you eat, weighing/measuring, eating cleaner, upping protein/lowering carbs, ensuring you are not overestimating your exercise burn, adding weight training and HIIT - all of which is excellent. I just want to tell you that now is NOT the time to quit,…

Fat-Free Greek Yogurt with blackberries or strawberries…..

Once you force yourself to start, you'll want to continue to get results MORE than you want to sleep in, relax after work, etc. It's all about what you want the most!

1.) Accurately log everything I eat (including measuring/weighing) 2.) Workout 5 days/week 3.) Hit my macro targets 4.) Weigh myself every day This is what works for me! Congrats on your success so far!

low fat string cheese, clementines, almonds, an apple….

There is an ABUNDANCE of scientific evidence that obesity impacts blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol - high levels of which are DIRECTLY associated with a variety of chronic conditions and diseases. In the long term (over a period of years (not simply your three years) obese individuals drive up heath care costs.…

i am a bit ambivalent about this one. The stark reality is overweight individuals cost employers more to insure so it could be argued that those employees should contribute more to the cost of their care. I view obesity a bit differently than say Multiple Sclerosis or Crohn's Disease as obesity is within our control…

I did two things.... 1. I made a few appointments with a trainer to get me started 2. I met friends at the gym Both made it more fun/interesting and also built in some accountability so I had to show up.

Quest Bars! In my opinion, they have the most fiber and protein for the # of calories. Try the Coconut Cashew and Chocolate Brownie.

i weigh myself every day at the same time - just to have an idea of where I am. However, I only log my weight every Saturday morning.

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing accomplishment! I hope to know that feeling soon - but in the meantime, I'll continue to be inspired by people like you! Congrats!!!
