  • I USED to live on the Gulf Coast 3 months ago...do I count?
  • Running faster and longer is something that comes with doing it FREQUENTLY. Training properly and good equipment (i.e. SHOES.) People tend to neglect their shoes when they run and then question their injuries...stay hydrated! :) Good luck to you and your family--hope his football season goes well! :)
  • We are a family of 2 adults, 1 toddler and 2 small/medium sized dogs and we spend any where between $400-$500/mo on groceries and the occasional need of toiletries and cleaning supplies. Every 3-4 months we make a Sam's Club stop (there is no costco near us!) and spend about $100-$150 there. I've switched to generic brands…
  • I had a simliar injury last week in my left calf! I could barely walk!! The only thing I did was try to stay off of it...but with a toddler around that made it hard to do. So I did as much hydrating as I could and tried to make sure my protein level was up for muscle recovery. I'm not into taking pain relievers so that…

  • HYDRATE and rest your legs! If you feel up to it--DO IT!! You'll know your body best. You can decided when to slow it down or to stop all together. And even if it's after 8 miles--HEY!! You just ran 8 miles!! That's awesome!! :D Just keep intune with your body!

  • Just Do It :) You may hate it in the beginning but you'll be addicted to it in the end!
  • Genetically Modified Organism And yes! My husband and I have been trying to switch our lifestyle to non-GMO's and organics...it starts to get a little pricey but we just keep thinking that at the end of the day--our bodies are cleaner and we let nature take it's course!
  • I give up my coffee at least twice a year--to prove to my husband that I'm not addicted to it (I'm in denial--the severe headaches I get the first 4 days after doing so proves this addiction!!) I do it though to cleanse my system. And when I do return to my 1-2 6oz cup of coffee in the mornings, that is the only thing I…

  • RUNNING!! It's a full body workout and it's an awesome calorie burner! :) Plus--you can pretty much do it anywhere!
  • Drink lots of water! It's amazing that you have time to be bored! My son slept well from the get go and every spare second I had I was cleaning, doing laundry and cooking! But everyone is different with how they handle their schedules. :) Seriously--drink lots of water! :) Welcome to the wonderful life of Motherhood! :)…
  • If you sit me in front of a fire with a bag of marshmallows...you're not likely to get any at all...I WILL eat the whole bag in one sitting. DO NOT make me in charge of the marshmallow bag...

  • You're not a freak! I'm 4'11" and I was wearing a size 11 at my heaviest (153lbs) and when I started losing weight I dropped to a 7...I've been at size 7 for quite some time now and I've got 7lbs left to lose (goal: 110lbs). I don't know if I'll ever see my size 3 jeans again--I think having my son has widened my hips for…

You don't have to be fast and you don't have to go far...and just like any other sport, skill or workout, yeah--you can get hurt. But the thing is...all runners recover and…

  • I'm up at 6-630 to get a run in before my hubby goes to work. If I can't manage a workout during the baby's naptime, then at least I got a full body workout in before the chaos begins! :D Basically, if I don't workout out in the morning, then it's like pulling teeth to get me to get a workout in otherwise!
  • ugh...i know, it's disgusting...BUY LOCAL!!
