I didn't cut my calories too low. I've never done 1200 calories as my goal. I've usually been between 1500-1700. As long as I stayed at maintenance calories or below, I didn't worry about it or obsess over it. I love to cook and to eat, so, I just make sure I move enough during the day to give me a lot of calories for the…

The FDA doesn't require potassium to be listed in the nutrition facts. It is voluntary, and most often not listed. Most people get plenty.

I eat and stop eating whenever I feel like it, no set time.

Use either. White rice is a great fast burning pre-workout carb to fuel your performance.

This right here. If you're using MFP numbers, eat the extra calories.

No need to eat breakfast, if you don't want to. I usually have a protein bar, a banana and a bottle of muscle milk. Sometimes I eat it all, sometimes I end up leaving some for later, I like it because on work days it's all grab and go.

You need to properly fuel your body, so, yes, you should eat the exercise calories.

Record weight whenever I step on the scale, good or bad. I have the Fitbit Aria synced to MFP.
-
That sounds about right. I find my Fitbit to be rather accurate and I'm at 1350 calories burned, I've been awake for 8 hours and other than laundry, I haven't done much of anything.

"Health at Every Size" by Linda Bacon, helped me rethink my thoughts about myself and my relationship with food. The book talks a lot about the psychological side of weight and weight-loss. It was most definitely the most helpful thing I read. Because knowing what to do isn't going to get you very far without some kind of…

Most doctors just spout out the traditional diet rhetoric. You need to ask your doctor how much he knows about nutrition and possibly as for a referral to a nutritionist, if you feel you need one. I'm a huge perponant of eating as much as possible while still seeing the results you want. When I started, I weighed 285…

I have a range I want to fall into for each. carbs (173g-229g) protein (109g-165g) fats (45g-75g) these numbers are for when I'm eating around 2,000 calories a day and is a personal preference. I don't worry about the MFP number, being that it's an exact number, it would be nearly impossible to hit, because all you'd have…

Yep, different scales equal different weights. I think the fitbit scale put my weight at 3 pounds more than my old scale. But, it's just a number to use to measure progress. I found the fitbit scale to be more likely to give me the same weight if I move the scale around the room, whereas with my old digital scale, if I…

Bottle of wine last night, weight loss this morning. Just plan it into your day or week, depending on how you track calories.
-
I have the fitbit charge HR, and it is very accurate, for me. It usually gives me between 500-700 extra calories and I eat them, haven't had a problem with it.
-
For fat loss, not weight loss you'll need to up your calories and eat closer to or at maintenance. You're going to need to feed your body to gain lean mass, while losing fat.
-
As someone who doesn't believe in cutting calories severely, I thought I'd let you know, at 300 pounds, you should lose weight at 2700 calories a day. At that weight the best estimate, not knowing anything else about you, is that you need between 3400-4500 to maintain your weight, depending on age and activity level. At…

I said no to not eating pancakes for breakfast. They were amazing, banana pancakes.
-
Yes, that's the amount of calories you can eat to maintain your deficit.
-
I said no to NOT eating the Bavarian Creme Bizmark, because it's what I really wanted and I wasn't just eating it because it was there (actually had to leave the house and go buy it).

Replaced Margarine with butter Skim milk with whole milk Nonfat yogurt with 2% yogurt Reduced fat cheeses with full fat cheeses Turkey bacon with bacon I have eliminated everything that tastes like cardboard

Accept it and move on. It's not a big deal.

I use it. You can add me, too. DrunkNFreaky

Embrace them; they're not going anywhere.

Eat wholesome foods in sensible combinations ... and potato chips.

Did you start by setting up your Fitbit on your computer? You have to do that first, but, you don't need to use the computer after that.

If you're hungry, yes.
