Really great suggestions--thanks everyone. But overall--would you say that sushi is a good choice for dinner? I looked up different sushi types and at most i saw maybe 470 cals for an entire roll. That's less than most meals I eat. So i'd say it's a go right?

I suppose. It just doesn't seem to be adding up to me. I should have lost 2 pounds this week.

I worry about eating back my workout cals because i'm not sure how accurate they really are. and plus half the time i'm not even half as hungry as i used to be. So i don't need to eat as much. I'm not sure what is going on.

I really try to balance it out. I've already had my 8 glasses of water for the day and now i'm eating an apple! I don't think I will be too worried because it'd replacing the bad food i used to eat. I eat before! I have WAY more energy when i go to workout then. It helps you fuel up. Otherwise you'll find that you can't workout as long.

I have late classes, so i go in the mornings. I made MFP my home page so it reminds me every morning when i get up to go workout! Also either wear your gym clothes to class or bring them with you! it's just more motivation :)

Definitely my dad. When he had his heart attack he had to change his entire lifestyle. He shed about 40 pounds and is now in the best shape of his life! I am hoping to shed my weight just like him to become healthier too :)

I am 5'9 too. Our ideal goal weight is between 130-160. I used to weigh 150 while i was in high school and that was a fantastic weight. I was also an athlete though so i had a ton of muscle. 1 pound a week seems like a little bit in the long run it means you'll keep it off WAY LONGER then if you lost a ton of weight really…

I usually plateau because i seem to do the same workout over and over and over again. I've decided to do about 3 different workouts a week over 5 workout periods. Your body won't get too used to it. I have boneless skinless chicken breasts that are exactly 100 cals and only 1 gram of fat :) hope that helps!

I know how you feel! One time i was in the grocery store getting lunch and i got about a 1/2 cup of macaroni salad and this lady who i've never met before leans over to me and says...we'll you're certainly not going to lose weight that way are you. i was really insulted and I didn't want to eat anymore after hearing that :(

I mean, i realize it's not realistic to lose that much weight THAT fast...but i was just saying that it is an inspiration that no matter where you are in your life and no matter how much you weigh, if you put in hard work you can get the results you want! :)

I just watched a made episode of MTV and the girl who was on lost 30 pounds and ran a 5K! It was really inspiring. I think I may sign up for one of those soon :)!!!
