First of all, congrats on your committment and strong work so far!! 80 lbs is amazing!!! When I was first "Diagnosed" and got on the meds, I lost 100 lbs and I felt great! That was 8 years ago. I was so proud, but since then, I've gained back almost half that weight. We've added an additional mood stablilzer, an anti…

Thank you for your support and sharing. You're right about the smallest goals. Some days just getting out of bed is my achievement!! But these last few days its felt a little easier so maybe this new medication will help me sort all this out. Thanks again:)

Thank you so much for sharing your story!! I know that I dont necessarily like to broadcast this type of stuff to people so I know this must have been a little difficult for you. Its so hard to explain to people that sometimes the just getting out of bed IS my victory for the day!! It sucks and some people think I'm lazy,…

I guess this turned into more of a book than a question!!! Sorry:smile:

What types of stretching are you doing? I had some issues with that years ago and went to physical therapy for it. The stretch that helped the most was to do a typical calf stretch (heal off of a step or something similar). Normally your knee would be straight, but instead, bend the knee. Make sure your booty is tucked…

Exactly, reality check. It is a little degrading, but that is what starts the journey. You have to hit rock bottom before you can climb back up:)

I have read similar material and understand the same thing. It doesnt matter. And whatever the "Burn" may be to bring the water up to room temp is very insignificant.

That is an amazing success story!!!! Congrats to you both!!! I'd like to add you as a friend if that's ok:)

Other than the Arm Bike like suggested above, your best bet is to lay off. I just went through 3 months of physical therapy only to end up having orthoscopic surgery on my knee. It turned out to be a torn meniscus and a sprained ACL. BUT, I didnt go to the doctor for about 3 weeks after it happened and because of that, I…

Me too! I'm so not comfortable without a bra on! I also agree witht he comment that some people just dont know if they look good or not and it can look slothenly. And yes, you can see this at Wal Mart on a daily basis... Its not a pretty sight!! I'm gonna stick to wearing pink!!!

FINALLY!! TALL WOMEN!!! It really is hard because people dont understand weight for tall women. I'm 5'10' and 199. I was down 17 lbs until vacation in April. Since then I've gained back all but 4 lbs. I'm so crushed. My boyfriend says he cant even tell, but my size 12 clothes sure can (Since I'm back to wearing the size 14…

You may want to switch up your workout routine as well. Your body may be too used to it and is bored. Try a new video or add some walking to your routine a few days a week. Also, investigate calorie zig zagging. Its when you eat a different amount of calories each day. One day you'll eat 1400, then 1200, then 1600, then…

Its too bad that you cant listen to music. That is one of the biggest things that keeps me going. I can get lost in my music. I also try to work out my "Problem of the Day". There's always some issue, no matter how small, that could use some working out. That kills a lot of time too!! Best of luck to you, your so close…

You said it SO much nicer than I could have!!! You never know the struggles some people have been through in their life, so you should never judge!!! For reasons that I dont need to explain, I HAVE struggled with weight control my whole life, whether I was at a good weight or I was overweight. Bottom line... don't judge…

OMG, if I had a dollar for everytime I heard these things I would be rich! I'm just over 5'10" and hear those things all the time! i'm particularly tired of hearing "You can carry the weight because you're tall. No one notices. Well I DO!!! It is harder. I have about 35 lbs to lose to get to where I can be comfortable and…

I make a regular salad, add in ground turkey that I've seasoned with taco mix (just like I would the beef) and then crumble up baked doritos on the top. Its not the same, but it gives you the crunch you crave. I use salsa as a dressing. I'm too busy to make my own so I use Tostitos brand salsa. Hope this helps a little.

As long as you are eating to sustain higher levels of exercise then you should be ok. But if you have been sedentary for a long time, this may be a good question to ask your doctor. It all depends on your current levels and what types of injuries you could incur. Talk with your Doc!

McCormicks Grillmates have some excellent options for marinades. I love them all! I have a few faves, Mesquite and Chipotle Lime. They really are so good, I highly recommend trying them. Best when marinated the day before. You can pretty much marinate a weeks worth of chicken on Monday (or Sunday) and have chicken for…

My typical breakfast is Kelloggs Protien Plus Cereal with skim milk and Yoplait Greek yogurt (The smaller ones). It covers my need for something crunchy and filling and something sweet too! I love my breakfast! I do vary though and sometimes make french toast. You can do it real low cal too. 1 egg, ( Add vanilla extract,…

I agree with Luci2403. While Weight Watchers has worked very well for several people, the bottom line to lose weight is calories in vs calories out. MFP does that for you. I can see that it would be a tough decision, personally I would stick with MFP and log your food and cardio everyday. It truly works and holds you more…

I've had this issue my whole live! I'm 38 and no children. My mom had the same issue. Apparently it can be genetic:( Other than the panty liner, I really dont have any suggestions for you... But would love to hear some more here!!
