My diet is pretty much a see food diet. If I want it I eat it but I try to keep an eye on how much. My diary is open, but you will have to look back a few weeks to see my basic eating. I spent a week in the hospital and haven't started tracking full time again yet. Weekends are my hard part too. Mainly because I don't…

Congratulations for drinking the Kool-Aid. Since late January when I started this journey with CrossFit being my exercise of choice, I have lost 17 pounds, just over 24 inches, dropped my body fat percent by 6.3%, and gained 5 pounds of muscle. Additionally, I have thrown my asthma inhaler away, gone for obese to…

Air Force here...and in the same boat. Feel free to add me.

I have so many, but my current favorites are: People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing. That’s why we recommend it daily. –Zig Ziglar There are no traffic jams along the extra mile. –Roger Staubach Whenever you see a successful person you only see the public glories, never the private…

Slow and steady conditioning of the lungs. And ask your doctor in you could use your inhaler as a pre-workout action. I have exercise induced asthma myself. I used to take 2 puffs of albuterol (sp?) 15 mins before working out. Over the last 7 months I've conditioned myself to not need it. Besides that, my suggestion would…

Maybe not everyday, but fairly frequently: "your gym partner(s) are all men? so do you want to look like a man or do they want to look like a woman?" Really? its neither. It's just that right now our goals are running parallel to each other as far as lifting and increasing cardio endurance goes and it helps to have someone…

Two today: 1. Noticed today that my "bye-bye" arms (the ones that continue to wave after you have stopped) have gone away and that when I flex my arm I can barely see the line between my bicep and triceps. 2. Ripped a pair of sweats at the box but stayed and finished the workout anyways. (The rip was from a Squat booty,…

Being told by my hairstylist that I had to get a different style because my face was now an oval versus being round. She said that my hairstyle was making my face seem too long now, instead of thinner.

Banana and a tablespoon of peanut butter is my go to. Have had it 20 mins before a workout to right before one and still had the energy to finish.

My husband and I moved from the States to Germany just six months ago. Some of the things I've learned about food in German are: - Local stores carry the fresh produce, but not always the type you are looking for (ie corn on the cob was amazing but we have yet to see it again) - Don't be afraid to try new foods from the…

My husband as well. Not only did he not complain about the changes in diet, but he often goes to my CrossFit class just to cheer me on (he doesn't do the workouts, just stands to the side to cheer). Additionally, he pushes for extra gym time or walks every night to get us moving. He is always telling me how beautiful I am…

ahh that makes sense actually. thanks!

Is there a particular reason why I am only noticing it on this skirt? My jeans are looser but not longer, same for my shorts and dresses.

Went shopping with the hubby last night, didn't bother to check his pick for new workout pants on size because he KNOWS I only wear x-large. Got home put on a set of super cute pants, he was grinnng like the cat that got the canary. Asked him why, he just said look at the tag. Medium It appears that I completely skipped…

One question: Was this the first time he has made conditions like this about anything? If he is the type of guy who always finds something to criticize then he might be emotionally abusive. If it was the first time, then it might be a painful but serious point. I was rather amazed at how long it took before someone made…

i seriously cried from laughing at this one because i sent a copy of "Mean Girls" to my husbands sister for a similar reason. My favorite to date is actually from today. I have an upset stomach and someone literally told me it was because I abuse laxatives to lose weight. I haven't taken laxatives in, oh, about 6 years.

Missed a check in this week. Did w4d2 yesterday (after a three day rest) and barely pushed through. Since I've been doing it all on a treadmill to baby previous ankle injuries, I agreed to start doing it over outside as well. Started w1d1 over again on an outdoor track. Went really well and no pain this time. Slow and…

Finished w4d1 today. New shoes (that fit perfectly woot) and slow pace made it tolerable. The last run was rough but I finished!

The #1 best workout for anything is the one you will actually do. Doesn't matter if its running, cycling, swimming, jazzercise, or lifting, if you won't stick with it then it's not right for you. Plain and simple.

Week 3 Day 3...so after stalking this thread yesterday I decided to SLOW DOWN. And amazingly enough, the run was...easy. Not super easy, but not torture they way the rest of the last 3 weeks have been.

Run a mile straight without my asthma inhaler.

- Woke up and felt sexy - Had a workout buddy tell me she was jealous of my hour-glass figure And my biggest one: - Had my husband tell me he wants to start losing too because I inspired him!

This is a part of my problem too. The first time I fell was off a box like the ones my gym has just purchased. Broke my face (okay just a tooth but still)...
