Gingersnaps. Also peppermint anything. And chocolate cake is always a beloved dessert, no matter the time of year.

I've lost a little over 100 pounds. It was 50 in the first year, and about 56 so far this year. The first 80 hit probably around July or August of this year, so a little over a year and a half. Granted, this has also been with some large gaps of not losing any weight. First, because I hadn't bought a food scale yet so I…

I don't like completing my diary, but I've been doing pretty good staying under each day. Except Wednesday...when I reverted to binging habits and ate all of the things. :/ Weight is up for it too. Just keep reminding myself that it's probably not more than a pound of actual weight and it should drop off over the next…

Cherry Coke Zero Black Coffee, preferably iced Cucumber Peppermint (or any mint) tea Gum

One habit I've noticed is that once I get home for the day or get involved in things (video games, netflix, reading, whatever), I generally don't want to go back out. So I combat it by making sure I go to the gym (or for a walk, or whatever) right after work, and get my exercise done right after I wake up on the weekends…

Cookies. :( I can't buy them from the bakery of my grocery store or make a batch because I will eat them all (or most). I've tried pre-portioning them out into sandwich bags, but I know they're still there and it doesn't work long term. Sadly not too many places sell just one or two cookies. Also pizza. Kind of. I'm fine…

Great job, everyone! My minutes weren't as high as usual this past weekend because I was away, but glad to see we at least still tied.
-
Also! For challenge #2 I re-did hiking the Na Pali coast - aka walking 4 miles outside. I chose it because I'm taking advantage of this slightly warm spell before we plummet into freezing temperatures this weekend.

Somehow I always have trouble putting these things into words or making sure they're separate things. 8 lifestyle choices: 1. continue to weigh all of my food 2. continue to have some sort of activity every day, even if it's just flexibility or strength or a walk 3. keep drinking plenty of water 4. continue being honest in…

There was a pair of jeans I bought on clearance either right at the end of college or just after I graduated (so, 7 years ago) that I bought because of the value even though they were an inch or two from fastening. They've been sitting in my closet all those years, through a massive gain in weight and then loss, and this…

I generally go oven roasted chicken breast on wheat with provolone cheese and lots of veggies. No condiments. I haven't gone to subway in a while, but if I remember correctly a 6 inch comes out to just under 400 calories. You can save more calories with no cheese, of course.

After almost a year of having to wear a ring spacer due to my wedding ring going from a bit roomy to falling off even with the spacer, I got my ring resized. It went from a 10 to an 8! Even in high school I wore a 9. I was hoping to wait until goal weight to only get it resized once, but it had gotten beyond necessary and…

I've lost just over 100 pounds so far. First with just eating less of what I was eating, then with weighing exact portions and incorporating "healthier" alternatives, then adding in exercise (first just walking, then cardio at the gym, then added weightlifting). As far as a literal day to day, I just try to focus on my…

The main thing I'm really annoyed by is people who just want to talk and talk and talk (to me). I don't mind a "Hello, how are you?", or once another woman saw that I had been reading The Cursed Child script on the elliptical and asked me what I thought and it was fine. But if you want to have a full blown conversation…

Same. Cut it really close to my maintenance calories all weekend and even went a little over on Friday. Was already planning on getting it back in check, but it will be nice to have a little extra accountability.

5'11 320 to 220 pounds. Would like to get down to 180 and then reevaluate.
-
This is so true. For the longest time I believed that the 1200 guideline was a rule rather than a general minimum. Yeah, not at 5'11. Also nobody told me how bad I was at eyeballing portions or having any idea how many calories were in things. I was convinced that I wasn't eating that much and I was just doomed to be at a…

I had a ton of weight to lose (140+ lbs), so I saw the scale move first, mostly in water weight. That was followed closely by inches (or clothes fitting, I was scared to use the tape measure because I was in denial). I did take pictures even though I found that embarrassing, first at every 20 pounds, then every 10, and I'm…

Eep. Still have about 40 pounds to go (at least), but I've come so far. 320 to 220. Currently at 216.8, and am 5'11.

Plan on doing my 10k today after I get off work if it's not unbearably cold. If it is, I'll do it tomorrow at the gym. And Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the US.

Diet coke for me, but I'll drink diet pepsi if that's what they have. What can I say, I like my caffeine. If cherry coke zero is available, I'll choose that over both. Unfortunately other than cans at the grocery store, the only places I usually see it are at work (overpriced in the hospital cafeteria or gift shop) or at…

I've been debating what to say that I'm thankful for...I've always been bad at these even as a kid. I always ended up giving generic answers. After some thinking, I guess I'd say I'm thankful for my relative health. Sure, I have my issues, but I can still do things. And I've gone ahead and taken preventative measures…

I found that I'm not a big fan of spaghetti squash unless I do a small one and just eat it the first day. I didn't find it reheated well. Spiralized zucchini on the other hand? Yum. I've used it by itself with other veggies/protein, and I've used it to bulk up regular pasta portions since a single serving of actual…

I'm kind of excited about the Rockette challenge. I was in colorguard in high school and we had a kickline team within it, but my senior year it was cut due to not having enough people interested (and good enough) compared to the number of regular colorguard members. So I'm looking forward to doing some of it again…

Get to "just overweight" by Christmas. 4.6 lbs to go per weigh in this morning. After that, it's on to onederland! :)
-
Yesterday ended up being warm enough when I left work, so I got in my other 2 miles. Now I just need to finish the videos and keep staying under calories.
-
I've done half my miles. My fingers and nose were too cold to do more. Holding out til Friday when it's "supposed" to be warmer to do the other half. I'm not too worried about challenges next week as long as none of them include an actual thanksgiving meal (hoping they won't, considering the global nature of the website?)…
