Yeah, you weren't set to use Fitbit for your adjustment. You were set to get it from Under Armour although I have no idea how if you don't have any other apps connected. Definitely check the setting under Steps, though. For some reason, it seems critical to have that selected (assuming you have a Fitbit connected) or MFP…

You didn't need to dig up such an old thread. This is a new issue and there are active threads discussing it. Delete the extra entries, yes. I haven't been affected by the issue, but I believe you need to make sure that MFP is using Fitbit for its step source. To check this: In the MFP app go to Steps (accessing this, is…

That's why most of us prefer to use MFP for our guide as to how much we can eat. Using Fitbit's is more of a workaround for when the MFP<->Fitbit syncing isn't working well. However, it isn't as bad as you portray it. If you set Fitbit to "Sedentary" rather than "Personalized" (on the Food Log page) it won't assume you…

I don't show a UA adjustment in MFP, just a Fitbit adjustment. If you're showing a UA adjustment instead then either your adjustment isn't coming from Fitbit or it is coming indirectly somehow, through UA. When you look at where your steps are coming from (in the app, go to Steps to see what it is using, on the web, go to…

That advice mainly applies to manually logged exercise - not exercise that your Fitbit can track well. For comparison, I tried manually logging a 30 minute, 3 MPH walk in MFP and it was going to give me 133 calories. I then went to Fitbit and manually logged a 30 minute, 1.5 mile walk in it and it gave me 91 calories. In…

Actually, the Blaze doesn't appear to include the "Reminders to Move" function. Plus, while I'm not interested in fashion, I still think it would be too big on my wrist. And (although I don't care too much about this feature), I believe it doesn't have built in GPS - it has to get it from your phone.
-
When I run or walk on the treadmill, I do turn on exercise mode because of a weird bug in the auto-detect exercise function (maybe they've fixed it - I haven't tested recently). Anyway, if I let it auto-detect, it won't give me a distance in the record it creates. It's not a big deal because nothing else seems off and it's…

I like my Charge HR and don't care about fashion, so I wouldn't give up the HR function. However, the Alta has one feature that I would like to see added to the Charge HR - the reminder to move.

When I tried to log food to Fitbit, they didn't have a UPC scanner function, so I've never tried theirs. I only occasionally use that function, though, so it isn't a big factor for me.

Manually log or edit it. My One did that, I think, when I put it in exercise mode and then did yoga. My Charge HR doesn't seem to. But, either way you can either just note your start and end times and log it manually or you can edit the sleep record it creates and tell it to change it to an activity record, then label it…

Check your Food Log page on Fitbit (preferably on the web page, not the phone app). On occasion, I've shown duplicate Meal Summaries from MFP. Generally, one of them is correct and I delete the others.

You can probably trust the band, but at the moment the syncing is a bit iffy. Once you have experience with it working, you get to recognize when something is off ("That adjustment looks too high. What gives? I'll check my exercise page and verify the math. ..." etc.). Unfortunately, you're new to Fitbit, so you don't have…

All I know is that when I tried to log food using Fitbit (months after I'd been using MFP), I found it to be very, very, very hard to use compared to MFP. Maybe they've improved it since I tried it. If you've got a system that works for you, then there is no need to change. But, there are a lot of us who use MFP for food…

For answers to these and many other questions, read the FAQ. Here's a handy link: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10098937/faq-syncing-logging-food-exercise-calorie-adjustments-activity-levels-accuracy/p1 Short(ish) answer on exercise: Yes, wear it when you do Zumba. No, do not log Zumba using MFP's calorie…

It depends. On lots of things. Your stats - height, weight, age, etc. The intensity of those 10K steps. How those steps are distributed through the day, maybe. Personally, I don't know how many calories I average for 10K steps because my step count is almost always way over that and if it isn't, then it is significantly…

@Weeksnweeks: Check on the MFP Exercise page. Does it show a "Fitbit Calorie Adjustment"? If not, then your accounts aren't connected or aren't syncing (this is a different "sync" than your Fitbit syncing with your computer). When you manually logged that bit of exercise, did it show up on your Fitbit account? Again, if…

Are you talking about the "Calories Remaining" on the Fitbit dashboard? If so, change it in the "Food" log page from "Personalized" to "Sedentary". That won't affect anything on the MFP side. If you're finding that your Calories Remaining on MFP decrease after your active morning, then you probably want to reduce your MFP…

Again, that sounds like an MFP bug that some people have been having. I don't know much about it (I haven't been affected). Check the calculations that MFP is doing to come up with that adjustment and contact support about it. In the meantime, you might have to go with Fitbit's site to figure out your calorie intake.
-
No effect. It just displays the steps. Your calorie adjustment is computed from your calories burned number that Fitbit sends.
-
This sort of sounds like two separate issues. The first (having a negative adjustment go below 1200) might be a change in how MFP does things (I wouldn't know, but you could ask them). The second (getting a negative adjustment when you expected a positive one) might be a bug. Did you look at the math that MFP was using to…

Congratulations on your activity. As a lifelong exercise avoider myself (until 3 years ago), I understand feeling like it is a big accomplishment. It is a big accomplishment. I certainly think you can tell your doctor that you're getting that much exercise. You could possibly break it out as x hours of deliberate exercise…

No, I'm not doubting the distance you claim, just noting that your Fitbit is sensitive to the intensity of your steps as well as the number, and pulling something like a golf bag might throw it off. But, I don't know because I've never pulled a golf bag around a golf course and it sounds like you do a lot of it, so…

@Jonna13 - no, you should only have one Fitbit adjustment, no matter what time of day. Try to figure out which one is right and delete the others. This is an ongoing bug they're dealing with. I hope they sort it soon because it is driving the people who are affected crazy.

I'm not sure if the slight heart rate change from standing will actually be taken into account. My assumption is that heart rate calculations don't kick in unless my heart rate rises into the exercise range, stays there for several minutes AND steps are detected. They don't want to award extra calories for a heart rate…

Yeah, I loved that "unexpected" myself. It's a bug. Of course it was unexpected. It does sometimes seem like they push out software changes that aren't adequately tested.
-
The calories are for detected activity - mainly steps. Did you pull the clubs using the arm where you wear your Flex? That could affect the number and intensity of steps detected and, as a result, throw off the distance your Flex thinks you walked and your calorie count. It would be better to pull the clubs with your other…

It must be really frustrating to be a new Fitbit user and have a MFP/Fitbit interface problem interfere with learning how to use the two things together. Hang in there, it'll be fixed. I've been on MFP for almost 3 years and have had a Fitbit for a little over 2 years. In that time, I've been affected by such problems just…

Just saw this link in the "Getting multiple exercise adjustments per day" thread: http://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2309562-not-seeing-exercise-adjustment-or-steps-from-the-partner-linked-to-your-myfitnesspal-account

Interesting. It's just that sometimes I've seen weird things (such as duplicate entries for exercises) on either the Fitbit or MFP phone app but when I check on the website, everything looks fine (although, I think that has more often been the Fitbit app). So I thought I'd ask to see if it was app related. Obviously not,…

If you have negative adjustments enabled (which is a good idea if you're ever less active than your selected activity level), you should almost certainly have a calorie adjustment - maybe negative, but still an adjustment. The chance that your adjustment is exactly 0 is quite low. Remember, the display of your steps in MFP…
