I clocked 11k steps today and 12k steps yesterday.

Had my vitals tested yesterday. Result? All normal!!! :) What an NSV!! Icing on the cake was my HbA1C. It now reads 4.7%. And, my Average Blood Glucose is now at 88. Woohoo!!

Thank you

This morning I ran my first half marathon. I wasn't focused on time, but just wanted to enjoy my run and finish strong. I realized that I came 156th out of 750+ participants

I had my hba1c tested this morning. My count stands at 5.3%. this falls under healthy/desirable range. Am super excited!! Yay!!!

Awesome!!! You are my inspiration. I am on Metformin and don't want my life dependent on it.

Awesome thread. Bump!!

I lost 44 lbs. Same old way - stay within calorie limit, and workout 3-4 times per week. I am a vegetarian, & I usually end up eating more carbs, than fat & protein. I lift weights (60 mins/session), and do interval training (20-30 mins/session)
-
I did 45 push-ups today. My biggest # till date.
-
I could do 10 push ups in one go. I started with 'knee' push ups on Nov 1st.
-
44lbs down, and I could now fit in a 36" pants comfortably. I was once wearing 42" pants.

I am new to weight training. Normally I do not weight train in interval training mode. Today, I tried a 30s workout & a 30s rest fashion. It nearly killed me, but I managed to survive at the end of those grueling 60 minutes :p And, I did 8 sets of 5 push ups. My biggest number so far. These are not 100% perfect, but I am…

This morning, I tried regular push ups. I could do 4 sets of 5 push ups. They are not 100% perfect, but there is some progress. I could barely do one a month ago.
-
That's awesome! You are such an inspiration! Good going there
-
10 proper push ups in one go. I struggle to go past 3 or 4.
-
Great work, buddy! Well done!
-
This morning I could do 2 sets of 5 regular push ups. My first!
-
This morning I did 10 reps deadlift - 60 kg. My first!
-
Same here. I have another 15-20 lbs to lose. Maybe I will see the change as I am through.
-
Yup. Thanks, bro!

@PeakLiving Hmmm.... I agree. That's surely gonna test my patience and persistence too. Let me take it one day at a time. Cos if I think it as a 120 day program, it looks a bit daunting.
-
I did that already last weekend. I will take photos during Christmas, and compare. Hopefully, there will be some visible difference.
-
Yeah, thanks all for your inputs. @youdoyou2016 : Will keep working on it, and see how it goes. @PeakLiving : I started lifting heavy weights since 1st Nov. I believe I do not have enough muscle mass. Maybe that could be one of the reasons. Another 60 days of 'experimenting' is not gonna hurt, I presume

Thanks all... @tiptoethruthetulips Yes, my clothes have become very loose. I need one size smaller now. @TavistockToad Discounting my chest, and waist, I have reduced overall. Can't say I haven't actually reduced. That would be unfair. My point is - my midsection is still the same. It hasn't changed a bit - both at 211 lbs…
-
That's great! Keep up the good work. Hope I can do 'proper' push ups by Christmas.
-
I did 3 sets if 8 push ups, albeit a beginner fashion. Took a pause after 4, and that gave me a little more energy to finish the sets. Yay!
-
Could do 10 beginner's push-ups in a row now. Feels like I am one step closer to standard push-ups. Yay!

Congrats on losing wt. Any wt loss is appreciable. For the time being, let's not give too much of importance on the quantity of loss. One baby step at a time. We can do it, eventually. Frustration is a big hurdle in our wt loss battles. Don't you think so? Let's try driving it out of our equation, if possible. I've lost…

The pants I bought 3 weeks ago is now way too loose. Its slipping down my hips, and it begs a belt to stay at one place now. (I lost ~5 lbs in 2 weeks.)
