I donated blood after almost 8 yrs! BP and diabetes took a toll on my health and I had lost my track. Now, after having lost over 40 lbs, my BP and sugar levels are 'pretty normal'. Yay! Feels good when you contribute something to the society.

Yesterday I ran 15 km in an event conducted to spread awareness on autism. This was my first ever run over 10 km. I was able to do it in 1:49:49. A few months ago, I could barely run for over 30 seconds. Yay!!

So far clocked 79.59 miles (biking, jogging, walking). 20 more to go!

I did 8 miles yesterday, albeit in a walk-run-walk fashion. I was slow but crossed the line in under 2 hrs. That was an awesome experience: to surprise yourself by successfully pushing your limits.

I ran 5k in 28 mins. My first sub30 feat. Am glad.

I had my hba1c tested again. It now stands at 5.4%. This is considered normal. Running and weights training are helping me out. :)

I ran my second 10k yesterday in 70mins. I was deliberately slow, but resolved to run the entire stretch. And, I did. I was very proud of myself. My next target is to shave off a few minutes from it.

I ran my first 10k.....did it in 68mins.... As a teenage kid I limped coa of rheumatic fever. Now I could run 10k non stop. It was an overwhelming experience.

Yesterday, I cycled 40 km (~25 miles). My longest, and the best so far.

I cycled around the neighborhood for over 90mins without getting exhausted.

I feared starting month 2 of Insanity. I drew inspiration from Marcus Luttrell's book, Lone Survivor. And, started my Month 2. Yesterday I did Max Int Circuit, and today Max Int Plyo. Survived.
-
I cycled around the neighborhood for an hour. Haven't had done that since college.

Today marks my '50 day streak'. My longest and the best one so far. yay!

I generally wear 40" jeans.... After almost a month of Insanity - I accidentally picked up a pair of 34" jeans... Voila! It was a near fit! I never had one in my entire adult life!! Yay!
-
^^Congratulations!! Great work - both of you! I am on Week 2 of Insanity. After Week 1, I have lost over 4 lbs and an inch off my waist. Yay! :)

I am a diabetic. This morning, I gave my blood sample for HbA1C test. Surprisingly, my glycated hemoglobin was at 5.3%. And, this is considered 'normal'. Its time to visit my doc again! Yay!

After P90X, I tried Beast Body for only a week. I could 'feel' the difference, though it was very minimal. I personally found that better than P90X. Just my humble opinion though. Now I want to do it all the way and complete my first round. I can't be like them in 3 months time, given my BF% ;) but can definitely improve…

Am in! I love Body Beast. I am obese but have lost over 35 lbs doing P90X. Now I want to try Body Beast and get back in shape. Cheers!
