Well... been there, experienced that! I lost 30 lbs in the last 4-5 months but gained a few back after a 'lazy' 3 week break. Now I am struggling to get back to my 'exercise pattern'. Its not easy, but I have started to do it in baby-steps. That works for me. See what works for you. Humming 'Eye of the Tiger' when we all…

Seriously, wow!!!! Congratulations! :)

Thanks for the add. You will enjoy P90. Technically I should have started off with P90, but my ego wanted P90X lol :P I couldn't do a single pushup on day 1. Today I can do 10 comfortably. Its not a great number but 10 is WAY better than none. ;)

Hi... I am doing P90X. Currently am in Phase 2. So far I have lost 12 lbs and dropped 2 pants sizes. My shirt size too reduced from 44" to 42". I can't do all what Tony effortlessly does. I have my own limitations. I suck at pull ups, but I modify to suit my strength. Its great and I love it. Good luck with your…

That's good. One baby-step at a time.... and lo! yours is the world and everything in it. ("If" I could say it in Kipling's words! :P )

Love West Indian accent. You can listen cricketers or commentators speak all day and not get bored at all! Cockney - Never understood a word! I end up with my (great / infamous) Indian head-shake

Hey.. I am a South Indian and my staple diet is rice (quite naturally!). Anything is good. Moderation is the key word here. You need to know how much you can consumer / day. If you are consuming enough protein (which may not be the case for most of us Indian), then I dont think you have any serious problem with rice…

I am a vegetarian - like many Hindu Indians. Feel free to add me.

@ Arvind - Congrats ! You are doing good. :)

No buddy. Just phase 1 of P90X. I am starting Phase 2 from today. When I started doing it, I could barely do pushup /pullup. With time, I could manage to do better. I have not mastered them, but can do better than what I did 30 days ago.

Yeah... that's really nice to see our folks interacting with each other. Well... today I completed my Phase 1 of P90X. I have shed close to 12 lbs and dropped 2 pants sizes. It feels great to be relatively leaner and lighter. I have more energy throughout the day and my sugar levels do not fluctuate as it used to till…

@ Malay - Welcome to the desi team. We are equally excited to meet our fellow desis. :) Well, most of us are aware of Insanity. I can't do Insanity due to my overweight issues. Will take it up at a later stage when I shed some lbs.

(Victor) Frankl-y, I do not know. :P

@ Anurag - That's great. Congrats! Well.. I am yet to do my C25K. Hope to do it after shedding some wt. @ Walk - Hey there, well.. we need to ask some Gujjubhais about Dokla & all :P . Anybody from Gujrat? ;)

Hi Anurag, welcome to the desi club. :)

Hmm.... that's almost a st line!!! Probably you need to take a look at your diet/exercise pattern. My wife is doing ChaLean Extreme. See if you like it.

Yep, Arvind. I am 5 9. 75 should be a decent number. P90X is challenging, yet fun. Hope I lose some more pounds and find myself in 'healthy BMI' range by end of 2013.

True. Don't expect miracles. That can only happen in a 5 minute song from Bollywood. We all experience such 'depressing moments' from time to time. Haha.. That's 'normal'. :P Its a life-style modification, not a short-cut route for freedom. So, let's 'earn' it. Keep eating right, keep working out. Enjoy the process and…

That's uber cool man! Congrats! Yeah.. do share what you did - like - what you saw on YouTube, what you did day-in and day-out, something like that. Share some gyaan.

I presume its carbs from your regular meals. You can reduce it by having more fibrous food. Prefer peanuts/cashews/almonds over cookies, steamed sprouts over chips/fast foods. If protein intake is more, then the 'craving' for carbs will reduce. This may/may not be true - but it works for me. You can try that method.
