I'm a paleo girl too! But I am probably 80%. I cut out dairy, soy & grains, eat grass fed meats, organic produce, make my own BBQ sauce, mayo, etc but I do drink a protein drink that is pea and brown rice protein.

Egg salad, tuna, a quick steak (sear on both sides in a cast iron pan and then put it in the oven at 425 for 10 minutes), chicken breast (pour a small can of salsa verde over it and bake for 30 minutes at 350).

Egg salad is my go to. I just hard boil some eggs on the weekend so have throughout the week, keep mustard & mayo in the fridge at work and mix it up when I get in. This morning I did a pea protein shake though so I am pretty set til lunch.

I tried Vega protein powder this morning and really liked it. I did chocolate with just cold water, a couple drops of mint extract and a tsp. of cocoa (I wanted a chocolate-mint shake). It was really good, went down easy and it has been the only one I have tried so far that didn't bother my stomach. They have different…

I haven't read the whole thread so not sure if it's been pointed out, but iHop uses pancake batter in their omelets! Add 3 more eggs to that and full fat cheese - yep, 900+ calories sounds about right!

Right now 2-3 servings a day - usually in the form of apples and nectarines or peaches or some freeze dried apples. In the fall and winter I usually go down to once a day when most stuff is not in season.

Personally, I don't think it would hurt to lower your carbs a bit. You are eating quite a few carbs in the form of desserts and fruit (in addition to the pasta, oatmeal, etc).

Slimfast blech! I used to work in an office where a bunch of the women there used to drink the Slimfast meal replacement shakes. I swear that stuff must cause crotch rot because the bathroom always smelled SO nasty after those women used the toilet after lunch.

I count my tea as water.
-
Yesterday it was half a grapefruit and a cup of green tea. Some days it's air popped popcorn or a piece of fruit.

You can also make your own coconut milk (which I prefer and it's cheaper. I use the Let's Do Organic Coconut Flakes from Whole Foods.

I had to cut back on fat too. I felt fine, but I am definitely not losing weight that way! It's so hard to find a balance though. I used to be a South Beach Dieter and it worked really well for me - but I could get a lot of protein from 'low fat' sources and dairy products like greek yogurt. Now I stay away from anything…

I usually get lunch from Chipotle or Sharkys - a protein, veggies, guac and pico.
-
This is so true. We've been ordering out favorite gluten free pizza with NO cheese and amazed at how good the sauce is!
-
Maybe you have a gluten sensitivity? Or is gluten free? I've never used it but I have tried so many different protein powders and they all tear up my stomach!
-
Flank steak, chicken, filet mignon, top sirloin - lots of protein and low fat.

I eat about 80% clean :) 1. What do you eat? What does a typical day look like for you, food-wise? Today was tuna on Skinny crisps for breakfast. For lunch I am having a protein bowl (kale, mixed veggies and grass fed steak marinated in olive oil and spices), For dinner I am making Paleo meatloaf from PaleOMG. For snacks I…

Add healthy fats & oils to everything - coconut oil, avocados, nuts, eggs - all high caloric, but healthy fats and your wife can definitely watch her portions.

Dark Chocoate 85% and above Unsweetened coconut flakes coconut oil apples beef jerky eggs bacon nuts (walnuts & macadamia) air popped popcorn coconut milk avocados

I love the Bragg's mixed Apple Cider Drinks - apple cinnamon, ginger spice. The first sip was odd but than they became oddly addictive,

Egg salad. I boil 2 eggs while I get ready in the morning and then mix them with mayo I keep at work so I eat when I get here.
-
I have problems with processed coconut milk (in the carton) so I just make it myself. It's pretty easy to make and doesn't give me any tummy troubles.

Haters are gonna hate! If someone comes back at me negatively with anything in life my standard come back 'I'm sorry you feel that way' and walk away. Most people don't know how to react to that so It usually puts a quick stop to their negative comments. Naysayers in general are toxic people.

Vegetarian fed means corn & grain. I try to only buy grass fed but if the only other option is 'vegetarian fed' than I'll get that.
-
I count iced tea as water intake since it's basically flavored water and zero calories.

For me, if I am not hungry than I am not going to eat. If this puts me under my 1200 then so be it. But there are days I may go up to 1400-1500 calories. Last night after dinner I knew I had a few hundred calories to eat and I planned on making popcorn ti fill the gap. I ended up not being hungry enough for popcorn and…

Mediterranean is tasty & healthy! Kabobs, seafood, vegetables, oils, olives - it's all so good.

Dark chocolate covered nuts (like macadamia nuts), avocados, saute everything you make in a healthy oil (olive or coconut), bread chicken with crushed macadamia nuts and drizzle with coconut oil then bake, toast with butter and sneak a layer of coconut oil underneath the butter (I do this with my kids).
-
I count workouts, walking and house cleaning. I try to walk as much as possible at work every day. I walk to go get an iced tea almost every day and that's a 2+ mile walk round trip. My office is on the 6th floor but the producers are on the first floor so I make several trips between offices every day. I am burning…

I usually do fajitas with no tortillas, no rice & beans or whatever their camarones (shrimp) dish is. Most Mexican places have at least one camarones dish - usually it's jumbo shrimp sauteed in garlic and spices. I usually allow myself about a dozen chips with salsa.
