I love this! So positive and so real. Well done for how far you have come :) You are so right that it has to be a lifestyle change and not a diet It is a slow process We didn't put weight on over night so are not going to lose it overnight, BUT if we consistently make better choices over time, we will get there! Good luck…

Brilliant post! I feel exactly like this and hate photos :( It is crazy how insecurities can take pleasure out of such basic things. It's so true that we cannot stop loving and enjoying life whilst we are waiting to be thin! We have to stop being insecure, accept who we are and love ourselves regardless!!

This thread was so useful as I'm feeling really sore from a class on Wednesday! I had yesterday as my rest day and I'm looking forward to a class tonight but I am soooo sore, Think I'm going to battle through and go tonight!!!

I am restarting too! I lost weight at the beginning of the year, kept it off until around August and then have piled it back on. Here is to getting the weight off once and for all!!! :)

Seeing myself looking fat and ugly in pictures next to my super slim friends. This happened on a trip to Paris in January of this year. Before then I went through phases of exercising and being slim and then yo yo dieting, With me, most people dont understand why I think Im fat as I only have around 2 stone to lose, But I…

I am bigger than most of my friends and I'm not even big so that tells you how slim they must be. I'm looking forward to that day when I am not the chubbiest person in our pictures!!!!

Are we talking about an American 12? That's a UK 16 which we would say is quite chunky. Our 12 is an American 8 which I think is the average size in the UK.

A big bag of kettle chips (150g), almost 800 calories :( It so wasn't worth it but today is my day off lol!

For those who cannot do high impact cardio they should try the 10 000 steps a day challenge wearing a pedometer and ensuring you do 10 000 steps a day. I used to do this and it really helped with being conscious as to how to move more!

Hi everyone, I'm 26 years old and from London I started putting on weight in my late teens/early 20's In recent years I have been going through phases of dieting, working out, losing weight then slowly putting it back on I really want to break this cycle once and for all and get down to a healthy bmi I really want this to…

I'm glad someone said that it is hard to get bulky because that worries me, I don't want to be bulky at all, just a little ripped and defined!
-
Thanks for the advice guys, I'm going to start lifting!! Looking at those pictures 20% looks fine, not too ripped but toned! This is going to be hard work as I am very curvy so I think my body fat may always be higher than what sounds healthy :(
-
I am aiming to lose 30 pounds too. That will get me to my target weight, lower my bmi and will make me lighter than I think I've ever been in adult life! I've also joined slimming world to see if it will help with my food choices. We can do this ladies!!!! :)
-
I know you feel as I am in a similar situation! I'm thinking the only way out of it is to go cold turkey with the junk food I can't seem to have a few crisps or a tiny bit of chocolate, I always take it too far and over indulge Have you tried cutting out bad food and doing exercise DVDs? That way you can work out at home…

You sound like me! I lost weight this year, put it back on and now I'm in exactly the same position as I was last year I've decided that I'm going to do this once and for all I joined slimming world last week Hopefully this will be what I need I feel like a drug addict lol! Good Luck :)

Recently I haven't been able to wake up in the mornings to run, but I used to love going at around 6am. I found that it set me up for the rest of the day, I made better food choices because I had exercised and generally lost more weight I'm slowly trying to get back on it as it worked really well for me! You are right…

This is my main problem area, I've had a flabby belly for ages! I find it really hard to tone up this area I have heard that it is mainly clean eating with the stomach area and losing weight overall Good luck! :)
