Eloquently said! This and to stop hating parts of my body. It is all me, and I shouldn't hate any of it!

I love this thread! So far this week I have been a good girl, but tonight hubby and I are going out to dinner and I want a Marguerita!! (or two or three or . . .) :drinker:

This sounds like an infomercial, and makes my brain so sad. Back to the topic at hand though. This is an excellent thread! Good Job OP! I worry about some of the posters here that are oversimplifying a very complex problem. Yes, it is easy to find cheep healthy food to feed a family on a budget, but not everywhere…

5'0" here! Shorties unite!!! Diagnosed with PCOS when I was 19, on Metformin since I was 24. 37 now and my body decided to add hypothyroidism to the mix! Fun!! I just joined MFP a few weeks ago, but I'm liking it so far. I would love to add you as a friend, just send me a request!

I wonder if what he really meant was "Wow, I really wish I had your determination"

I'm with you here. I've been working out 4 days week for the last 4 months, and I thought I would start to enjoy to it as my fitness level increased, but I still look forward to it like I do my yearly gyno visit. Gotta do it, but ugh.... The worst for me was the time on the treadmill. It is boring even with my favorite…

This! Your entire post was well spoken, but this quote here was magic! Well said!

I love the pics everyone posts! I don't currently have any progress to show, but the people who have worked so hard, some for years, to attain a body that they are proud of and a story that will hopefully motivate others. I DO NOT think this is fat shaming. I think it is encouraging people to eat healthy and a chance to…

Honestly I was oblivious when I created my account. Pure chance on which one I chose, but now I agree. I like tracking my progress, not how far I have left to go. Maybe when I get really close to my goal I will change my mind. Seeing 10lbs or less to go will be a good motivator to push to the end.

Some people! I swear! :explode: I've had a co-worker do this to me! She said (no kidding) "Are you pregnant, or just have a fat belly like me?" What?!?! Really?!? I replied "Nope, just fat" Ugh! To make matters worse, she tried to make up for it a week later by asking me if I'd lost weight. "Nope, still fat" She was…

A couple of my faves "Pissing in the wind" "Colder than a witch's titty"

Of course they count! Your post made me smile. What a great Dad you must be!

I was only 32 when I had my son, but for my family that is pretty late. Some of my friends (and my 38y old sister) are grandparents already! Yikes!!! I am still hoping to convince my hubby that we need another, but as I get closer to 40 (37 now) I feel like I have an expiration date. It's encouraging to hear your story,…

Hi Kerstin! Wow it sounds like your plate is pretty full! I live in SE Michigan, so I know all about the wacky weather! I keep watching the news hoping for the temp to come up enough to start walking outside every night. I might sound like a wimp, but 30 degrees is still too cold for me! I'm lucky though, I actually have…

First, Wow! you are doing so good! Keep it up! I'm doing this on my own too, and I know how hard it can be to stay motivated. Second, short warning, this may sound strange. I joined a gym in January. I HATE going to the gym! I made myself go 4 days a week, and slogged through every workout. I tried music of all kinds, but…

I did read about that! I'm not particularly offended by this. I think it's a hilariously embarrassing blunder by someone.

I look forward to having those moments. I am just starting out here, but it is the small things like this that give me hope. Congrats!

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 1998, before the connection between ovarian cysts and insulin resistance was well known.I've been off and on Metformin for about 10 years. Originally, it helped a ton. I lost about 25 lbs and kept it off for about 3 years. Then the unthinkable happened. I got pregnant! Lol, talk about a…
