I changed my meal names to 2400-0600, 0600-1200, 1200-1800, and 1800-2400. I like to keep my meals in order, and have had Christmas dinner for breakfast too many times to count.

The very best way? Cook, wash the dishes, and do all of the laundry (separate before washing, dry and fold). I once read "No man was ever shot while washing dishes."

Is the arrow an X-ray marker or part of the "thing"?

Saturday morning cartoons--Archie, Thor, Isis, Speed Racer. No seat belts, no car seats. Starsky and Hutch (my first crush). Riding in the bed of my dad's pick-up truck. Evil Knievel. REO Speedwagon.

A ketogenic diet is any diet that causes dietary ketosis. Dietary ketosis is different than diabetic ketoacidosis, which happens when Type 1 diabetics have very high sugar levels, carbs cannot be converted to energy and fat stores are broken down leading to the person becoming acidiotic (low pH on blood gas); this is a…

I'm another RN--7p-7:30a (at least) 3 days a week. Never the same 3 days week to week! I've always worked nights, did 2 years of "regular" 8 hr shifts, and have been doing the 12s for a little over 24 years. I'm a chronic lurker, will be trying hard to add to the conversations. Nice to meet you all.

dashingdish.com Just discovered it today. Many free recipes, but does have a "membership" fee to get all of them.

If you wear the fitbit facing out, you're chest may intermittently glow! :)

The feeling of watermelons on my chest were how I diagnosed both of my pregnancies. Really hurt when the bra came off, and it lasted about 4 mos. It helped me to wear a "sleep bra" like the AHH Bra when I wasn't "dressed."

This is from NPR: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=102728123 Strategies that help 4 year olds not eat marshmallows can help me, too!

Checking in from down in the corner of SW PA, about an hour south of Pittsburgh--close to Morgantown WV.

http://www.calorieking.com/foods/calories-in-coffees-brewed-or-percolated-from-ground-coffee_f-ZmlkPTY5NTEw.html It appears that coffee contains a touch of fat and protein, but the above site counts 2 cal per 1 8 oz cup.

Another vote for changing "meals" to time of day, and counting calories for 24 hrs.

Depending on the size of the hospital, a cafeteria may be open at night. Do you normally work nights? If you're not worked nights before, it's easier to stay awake if you eat more protein, and a lot less carbs. It does help to eat something every few hours--Salad with protein, hardboiled eggs or tuna salad if you eat them,…

I work from 7pm to 7:30 am 3-4 shifts/week. I changed the "meal times" to 6 hr time frames, and just put in what I'm eating at the appropriate time. I try not to, but can be awake anywhere from 18-30hrs at a stretch. When I'm not working, I flip back to "dayshift" hours. I'd rather track for 24hr periods, the math gets too…

To get an idea of what jeans to try, I like this site: http://old.zafu.com/just-for-you.html You take a short quiz about how clothes fit and rate pictures of pants (what you would or wouldn't wear). Then, you get a list of brands, with avg prices given. I haven't tried the jean suggestions, but the bra section was worth it.

Is the counter still running when you wake up? I've managed to turn it off a few times while sleeping.

ICU RN 7p-7:30a, 3 shifts/week--sometimes all in a row, sometimes split. I've been a member of the dark side for 26 years.
