High sodium foods and MSG are the major triggers for me. Any time I eat Chinese takeout or pizza with garlic salt flavored crust, I can pretty much guarantee getting a migraine. And as others have said, drinking a lot of water helps which would seem in line with flushing out the salt.

I love, love, love this magazine. I have subscribed to it for years and always look forward to the new recipes. Cooking Light also makes a lot of great cook books. Try cinnamon raisin bread toasted and spread with cream cheese. Then add sliced pears and alfalfa sprouts. I know it sounds crazy, but it is so good!

I cook the egg yokes and give them to our dogs. It's a nice treat for them and feels less wasteful to me.

I usually eat a bagel thin with light cream cheese or peanut butter before an early morning workout. It's not too heavy, but gives me enough energy to get through my workout. Plus the combination of carbs and protein is good.

My favorite combinations are dried cranberries with walnuts, apple with cinnamon or bananna with peanut butter (a little goes a long way and adds a lot of flavor plus protein).
